Meet Angel Williams | Brand Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk tasking is something that I am BIG on. Ive seen the advantages of taking a chances or taking that leap of faith. I can also dig deeper and talk about the importance of taking calculated risks. Because when you’re expanding and starting from nothing you will know that not all risks are worth taking. The biggest risks that I deal with when growing my brand, Make It Make Cents LLC , is basically with the location and the investments that it takes to grow the business. Starting off you our never guaranteed success but I know that with the effort and vision that I have for brand I’ll do whatever it takes to keep the brand a float.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m definitely motivated to go out and do the things that other brands aren’t willing to do or maybe just don’t have the eye open to do it. I not only want the brand to be a clothing line but it’s also a record label in the making. So from there it’s just all marketing and going out and networking which I feel like is the fun part of the job for me. Main challenges when starting up this brand is going be with the financial stuff. I’m not starting off with a large amount of money that most people will recommend you to start off with but I really wanted the name and the logos to be established already early in 2021. So I’m starting off with that foundation and growing it little by little , until I get the store front that I have always envisioned.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I can use a recent experience with my cousin when he came to visit me in Tucson. I took him to the downtown area by the university so he can check out the scene. Then we went on a road trip thru Phoenix , stopping by in Las Vegas and then ending up in LA. Previously when we went out there we didn’t have a brand , it was just to hang out for fun and show him a different part of the map than what he is used to. Now that mindset has been shifting , we want to go out there with our own vibe see what type of reactions we can get. At this point in our life’s we are more into business than partying. So marketing and networking is mainly the goal when traveling to the bigger cities.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The only other people I can contribute to my success are going to be my parents and even my whole family such as uncles , aunts and cousins. I always do it for them and they always make me feel comfortable with what I’m doing. They support me to the fullest and I love to know that I’m able to make them happy while going out and following my dreams. And I know if for whatever reason the brand doesn’t turn out the way I liked then I know I still always have my family and that’s what allows me to go out and push my brand with full confidence and with the best energy.
