We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The work I do literally took hold of me the moment I chose to learn Reconnective Healing. The only thought I had was that I needed to do this work to help others in the way it has helped me. I guess I would call it more of an inner knowing than a thought. I never even thought twice about it, I just took the steps to start my business. I never even thought I’d own a business, especially a holistic one, but here I am!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

This journey started when my only child left for the military. They sent him overseas for two years as soon as he graduated from basic training. There were so many changes happening in my life at that time and I felt so lost and alone. I began to look into different things to help me overcome these feelings. I decided to go on a retreat in Sedona. The retreat included many different sessions including energy healing. It literally changed me. It changed my life in so many ways, anxiety disappeared, relationships became easier and things that no longer served me fell away,  just to name a few. This is where I discovered my own gift and was led into this field. It took hold of me and before I knew it, I took the steps to become a Certified Reconnective Healing Practitioner, and soon after, I started my business and began putting myself and my business out there. A few years after starting my business I began making bracelets with natural stones. I incorporated these into my business and now offer them in addition to the energy healing services. I am constantly seeking personal development and have recently become a certified crystal healing practitioner. I truly believe my own healing has led me down the path I’m meant to be on. I never imagined myself doing what I do now. That is part of what this wonderful energy work does!

I have always been a genuine, caring person and I carry that into my business. I want to help people heal from the things that cause stress and pain in their lives. I am very passionate about that. Having this type of business is challenging. A lot of people don’t know about how it can help them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d hope they came to visit during the Gem Show so I could take them to see all the beautiful things there! We would venture out into nature and do some hiking in Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park and the Desert Museum. Take a trip up to Mt. Lemmon and grab a giant cookie at the Cookie Cabin. We’d hit up the local food vendors and grab some tacos and sonoran hot dogs. Then head downtown for cocktails and check out the beautiful art murals and walk 4th Avenue. We’d probably take a drive to Sonoita and hit up a few of the wineries there too!

There are so many things to do here in Tucson!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my son and my mom. They are my biggest supporters. Their encouragement has helped to give me that extra boost of confidence in starting my business and in continuing this journey. They’re the best!

I also want to give a shoutout to Heather with Sedona Soul Adventures. She recognized my gifts and is the reason I took this career path. She has always been there to support and help me in any way she can. She’s wonderful!
