Meet Ariel Montano | Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Montano and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ariel, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
I think the greatest habit I have is my discipline to practice. When you practice over and over again and see the same results it can be frustrating but it’s ok. What I do in that time is just watch a video on a new technique and practice that till I got it down. Another thing I consistently do is freestyle when I’m in the car. I live 25 minutes away from school so I essentially get almost an hour of practice a day and during my drive I list the things I see like roads and cars. Do it over and over again and soon you’ll have 100 days worth of practice and experience.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Aside from my work with McVay. I keep busy by learning new techniques and practicing along with keeping open for new opportunities.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would go to Sedona. I would go to Sedona and hike, find a deer, go to a deer farm and go out in the snow.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to recognize my father of all things. I’d like to thank him for giving me the love I needed when my mother passed. I’d like to thank him for all the good habits he gave discipline, honesty, and being a hard worker. If it wasn’t for him I never would have been able to do the things I have done.
