We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Delrosario and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, how do you think about risk?
Anyone starting their own business journey is bound to take countless risks in the process. Risk is everywhere in life, especially when you jump into the unknown and trust your gut! For me, after working in the food industry for as long as I can remember, trying the corporate 9-5 life…I knew I was meant for more and I had a higher calling. I took a risk and bet on myself to work for myself doing what I love…..cooking and nourishing poeple!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Creator & Chef Ashley Delrosario , call me Chef Ash ūüôā

Not your average private Chef, my personality definitely sets me apart from others out there, every time I cook for a retreat I always leave with new friends and even friends I call family now! I am living in my truest most authentic self, and people can feel it. I cook with intention and purpose, my clients know I love what I do and they can taste it. There is so much love that goes into what I do. I will always and forever be proud of myself for taking a risk and betting on myself, truly believing in my passion. I think no matter what there will always be learning lessons and hard times in life, but its all about mindset and how you react to situations that will really set you apart from others, make or break you, positivity and consistency in business are key. I would tell everyone…… you aren’t meant to do life or business alone!!! Community is huge, having people around you that lift you up, don’t be afraid to ask for help. I have made several changes in my business since starting over 2 years ago, now I specialize in cooking for womens retreats all over the world, on weekends I cook for a lot of bachelorette parties and birthdays, I also cook for a few pro athletes here in the valley during the week, I definitely keep busy, and have thought about expanding in the future! Always dreaming and thinking big!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Arizona is such a beautiful state, and I’m definitely an outdoors type of person, so if I had a friend visiting I would for sure take them to Sedona to see the red rocks, go on a hike and hit up Peace Park, stop at a few of my favorite wineries, sit outside by the creek, go to Indian Gardens for lunch *they have the best sandwiches*, maybe buy some crystals at a little shop in town too. Quality time, enjoying beautiful scenery is everything.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I launched my business “delro cater co.” I didn’t have everything figured out, it wasn’t perfect, but I felt I needed to go all in and figure it out along the way. I couldn’t have done it without the help of Lindsey Schwartz with Powerhouse Women. I joined an online event of hers and started asking questions, next thing you know, she is sending me DM’s via Instagram and 3 weeks later I was cooking for her womens retreat!! My first ever big event. After that I had multiple people reach out to me about cooking for events, and one person was Raquel Quint, she became my first ever weekly client and I have been cooking for her family for 2 years now. And of course……huge shoutout to my amazing family, my mom and dad’s, sisters, thank you guys for being my #1 fans, love you!
