We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Frasier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
There is tremendous value in having a work life balance. Owning your own business can easily consume you so it’s extremely important to prioritize personal time. Speaking from experience, when first starting out my business I wanted to be successful as quickly as possible and by doing that, I missed out on a lot with my family and lost a few friends along the way. It didn’t feel good, my motivation started to dwindle, and I became worn out. So, I reprioritized my life. I do not work on Sundays and don’t answer any work calls or emails after 6pm the rest of the week, unless it’s an emergency. By doing just that, my mental health is thriving, I’m more productive and I can achieve an ideal work and personal life balance.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being a business owner is definitely not easy and has taught me a lot. It’s taught me patience, it’s taught me that success doesn’t happen overnight, the feeling of excitement and panic will come more often than not, but it is a motivator all the same. What sets my business apart from others is my attention to detail and transparency with my clients. I don’t make promises I cannot keep, and I am in constant communication with them answering all their questions and answering questions they didn’t even know to ask. I want my clients to leave feeling secured in their decision to work with me and to not think twice about referring me to their friends and family.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lake Havasu has so much to offer with some incredible views of the lake and Mohave desert. I’d say first thing on the list to see is of course, the famous London Bridge! Learn about the rich history behind it, explore the shops and grab a bite at one of the many restaurants underneath it. My favorite place to eat under the bridge is the ‘Blue Chair’, yummy drinks and delicious food, with a view. There are several parks on the lake to spend the day on, my favorite is rotary community park. They have undercover playgrounds, plenty of seating and plenty of shoreline to cool off in that Havasu sun. Rent a boat from the Wet Monkey Power sports and make a splash in the lake and its coves or rent a UTV and explore all the desert trails and mountains!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My stepmom, Roxanne Frasier! She’s a business woman herself and has taught me so many valuable lessons and always has the best advice.
