We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Wilke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
As an animal advocate and vegan, I felt that there wasn’t much representation of this lifestyle within the fitness industry. I really felt inspired to show individuals that it is possible to thrive as an athlete by getting adequate protein along with all necessary nutrients through a plant-based diet!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a health and fitness coach, it is my true passion and honor to help women become the best versions of themselves! Nothing makes me happier than watching someone thrive! With certifications from Cornell in Plant-Based Nutrition, NASM as a Personal Trainer, Online Coach, and Women’s Fitness Specialist, I am uniquely qualified to develop customized plans for each client’s unique goals.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love outdoor activities! We would go kayaking on the Salt River, SUPing at Saguaro Lake, or hike Camelback or Pinnacle Peak. For dinner, we would go to my favorite vegan restaurant in Phoenix, The Coronado!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shoutout to the amazing animal sanctuaries (New Life Animal Sanctuary, Love Always Animal Sanctuary, Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary, Priceless Pets Rescue) that have provided incredible influence and purpose to my mission. Interacting with these incredible animals has helped me stay motivated to share my message of living a vegan lifestyle!
