We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlyn Coronado and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlyn, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business is centered around teaching others how to create a mindful life. Mindfulness helps us be present, reduce stress, and handle difficult situations with ease. I feel like a lot of us live mindlessly and on autopilot, which can cause us to react to stress in a negative way. I believe my business helps the world by teaching others this simple practice, and how to manage their emotions/thoughts. Even though it is simple, it has life-changing benefits. I’m grateful to help others learn this practice, change their mindset, and improve their mental health. We all could use some mindfulness and positivity right now.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business goal has always been to help improve people’s lives with mindfulness. I started out in 2020 selling stickers and doing a blog about health and wellness topics. Then I moved to selling candles with crystals in them, while growing my Instagram. I then created my first mindfulness mini-course. Over a year later, I am finally certified, and am doing one-on-one coaching and corporate wellness. This has always been my end-goal, and I’m so grateful I’m finally here!

I feel like what sets me apart is my passion to change the misconceptions about how mindfulness isn’t for everyone, or not to be taken seriously. I want people to learn that this practice is simple, we just need to remember to do it. It truly has amazing benefits, such as stress reduction. Stress is linked to many physical and mental health issues. If we can reduce our stress, we can become healthier overall.

I’m very proud of how much I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone within my business. I’m a one-woman show. It scares me, but excites and motivates me at the same time! There have been many days where I just want to walk away from my business and get a 9-5 job. When this happens, I return to my why – helping others improve their wellbeing with mindfulness. Mindfulness has completely changed my life and mindset.

One prominent lesson I’ve learned that it’s okay to take breaks and rest. A lot of us feel guilty or forget to take breaks. This leads to poor mental health and burnout. I definitely experienced this a lot throughout my business journey. I have to remind myself to listen to my body, and practice lots of self care!

Before I learned about mindfulness, I was reactive, anxious, didn’t know how to handle stress, and not self-aware. I’m so grateful I took a stress management class in college, shoutout Arizona State University, where I learned all about mindfulness. It was perfect timing. At the time, I was experiencing anxiety like never before. I didn’t know how to handle it until this class.

I want the world to learn that I am genuinely excited and passionate about helping others change their life with this practice. I want people to know that I’m happy to share my knowledge and work together to help them create a positive life. This practice is for everyone and anyone!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend was visiting, I would definitely recommend they come during the cooler months. I love to be outdoors, so a lot of my recommendations would be outside. To start, I would say go to either Snooze or Zinq for brunch. We would definitely spend a few days in Sedona and Flagstaff hiking and doing brewery tours. While in Sedona, we would also stop for some juice at Local Juicery. I would also recommend taking a spin class at The Madison or hot yoga class at Radi8! For the night time, we could explore Old Town or Downtown Phoenix.

I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family & friends for all of their support, and Mindfulness Meditations (where I received my certification from).
