We had the good fortune of connecting with Beatrice Springs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beatrice, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am from Charlotte, North Carolina, a city that has deeply influenced who I am today. Growing up, I was raised by my mother, a single parent with three children, whose unwavering independence became a guiding light in my life. Her strength and resilience taught me how to navigate various aspects of life, from building relationships to advancing in my career, all while maintaining a strong sense of integrity.
My mother had a remarkable ability to set goals and find direction, regardless of the challenges she faced. Witnessing her confront and overcome injustices due to her instilled in me a profound sense of perseverance and determination. Her unwavering commitment to using her gifts and talents to encourage and develop others inspired me to do the same.
I saw her selflessly help those in need, often sacrificing her own dreams to support others. This taught me the importance of empathy, community, and service. My mother’s example of navigating life with purpose and integrity has profoundly shaped my character, values, and the way I approach my own journey. She has been a constant source of inspiration, demonstrating that with strength, compassion, and a clear sense of purpose, one can overcome any obstacle and make a meaningful impact on the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career journey is one defined by resilience, continuous learning, and a steadfast commitment to excellence and integrity. One pivotal moment in my career was having a supervisor who recognized potential in me far beyond the position I held at the time. This supervisor’s belief in me allowed me to create my own job description, a move that significantly changed my career trajectory.
Despite not having a formal degree, I have worked my way up to the role of director. This achievement is something I am immensely proud of, as it highlights the power of hard work, dedication, and the willingness to learn and grow continuously. I have a passion for helping to build and develop staff, focusing on identifying their strengths and placing them in roles where they can truly thrive. This approach not only benefits the individuals but also strengthens the organization as a whole.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity. These values are the cornerstones of my success. I strive to always work with these principles in mind, ensuring that my actions and decisions reflect the highest standards. Additionally, I am always eager to learn and improve, valuing feedback as a crucial tool for growth.
As a leader, I prioritize being a good listener and valuing the voices of my staff, who are on the front lines doing the real work. I see it as my responsibility to advocate for them in the spaces they don’t have access to, ensuring their needs and perspectives are represented.
My journey to where I am today was not easy. It involved overcoming numerous challenges, including the absence of a formal educational background. However, by leveraging my strengths, seeking out opportunities for development, and maintaining a positive and proactive attitude, I have been able to rise through the ranks. The key lessons I have learned along the way include the importance of resilience, the value of continuous learning and being confident in myself and the talentsMy career journey is one defined by resilience, continuous learning, and a steadfast commitment to excellence and integrity. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Charlotte, NC, for a week, I’d make sure they experienced some wonderful spots. We’d start with a tour of Uptown (yes, it’s called Uptown, not Downtown), enjoying breakfast at Amélie’s French Bakery & Café, followed by visits to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and Mint Museum. During the evening, we would be spend time dining at top spots like The Capital Grille and The Punch Room.
Adventures would continue and include outdoor adventures at the U.S. National Whitewater Center, cultural excursions to the Levine Museum of the New South, and relaxing afternoons in Freedom Park. We’d explore trendy neighborhoods like NoDa, with its vibrant arts scene and great eateries like Haberdish and Cabo Fish Taco.
Shopping at SouthPark Mall, visiting the Historic Rosedale Plantation, and exploring the Billy Graham Library would be highlights. Nights would be filled with live music at The Evening Muse and The Fillmore,
Overall, this visit through Charlotte would be a blend of cultural experiences, outdoor activities, culinary delights, and vibrant nightlife, offering a wonderful time in the city.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are several key people and groups who have significantly contributed to my journey and success, and I am incredibly grateful for their support and influence.
First and foremost, my family has been my rock whenever I’ve had an event, designed shirts, or bought merchandise, especially my ticket pusher, Gloria. Their unwavering love, encouragement and support have provided a strong foundation for me to build upon and know that I can always count on them.
My close circle of friends, who know who they are, have always been there for me, offering invaluable support during the most critical times of my life. I’m so glad God sent me the people that I needed.
I must also recognize my covenant sisters. Their spiritual and emotional support during some of the most challenging times in my life has been a constant source of strength and inspiration. Man, those girls have prayed me through some stuff!
My fellow online resell community has played a crucial role as well, offering camaraderie and practical advice that has helped me grow in my business and develop friendships that go beyond the merchandise.
The Herprenuer Network family deserves a special shoutout. This community of empowered Christian women entrepreneurs has been a significant source of motivation and guidance. Their shared experiences and encouragement have been instrumental in my journey. Learning so much more about “showing up” has been monumental.
Each of these individuals and groups has played a vital role in shaping who I am today. Their collective efforts, mentorship, love, and encouragement have been essential to my personal and professional growth. I am deeply thankful for their presence in my life and the positive impact they have made.
