We had the good fortune of connecting with Bennett Paul IV and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bennett, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
You know the popular question that teachers would ask you when you are a child? “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, for me it was an entrepreneur. I love being able to guide and aid others in making their business be the best it can be. It allows me the freedom I want and I want to be able to help others get to that point of freedom as well. I take pride in all of my businesses because they are a reflection of me, but Optibuild is my baby.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Optibuild is my “business development” website. We create websites, handle marketing, create business cards, make the shirts and much more. I try to be a one stop shop so that way the clients get allot for what they pay for.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a great question. After moving here 9 years ago from Pennsylvania, I get allot of people visiting. I take them usually to Copper Blues, my favorite bar. After that we always go to Lucky Strikes or 13th Floor. If they are more adventurous I take them up north near Sedona to the Devils Bridge to hike.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife, Sandra, is who keeps me pushing to be as successful as I can be. I want to give her the best life has to offer. Without her, I wouldn’t have my drive. And my father, who raised me to be a leader.
