We had the good fortune of connecting with Bria Hembergér and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bria, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Although there are many important lessons I’ve learned through my developing journey as Glamflesh; there is one that means the most to me. If you create art with the intention to receive validation and clout, you’ll never feel fulfilled. If you create art from the passion in your heart, the validation will come naturally from within. Clout follows when you’re creating work that is true to yourself; and if you’re creating work that’s true to yourself, the clout won’t matter.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Glamflesh was born when I decided to take the leap in displaying my makeup artistry on Instagram. It’s taken me years to get where I am today. It’s taken many hours of freelance work, collaborations, trial and error projects, and networking. Glamflesh has transformed and morphed into digital art and creative direction through out those years. I’m still growing and learning with my art everyday.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Throughout my time in Arizona I’ve collected many places to take my friends. I love Roosevelt art district in Phoenix. There’s a lot of cool galleries and cafes to check out! One of my favorite cafes is, The Grand. I also love taking the scenic drive to Saguaro lake. It takes you through East Mesa into the Fort McDowell desert.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout to my best friend and Phoenix fashion week model, Kailee Cannady. I would also like to shoutout the models who allowed me to use their photos for this. Their Instagram handles are: @rosaculebra @kiamonsta @kaileecannady
