We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, how does your business help the community?
Here at HRLVLA we are all about self love and body positivity. I want you to have a feel good attitude & I want my shop to encourage you to have a sense of self worth, to learn to embrace positivity & understand the importance of being comfortable in your own skin.
Regardless your gender, skin tone, size, shape or age – you matter, you are beautiful inside & out & never let anyone dim your shine!
HIGH REZ stands for: “hold your head up HIGH & REaliZe your worth”.
We are here to make a statement, we are the SELF LUV REBELLION!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The reality of running a small business solo…
It is definitely not easy but it is worth it to hear how great I make people feel while rocking my merchandise.
Staying up late or waking up super early to work on orders & getting them shipped out fast, because we all love fast shipping. Inventory, packaging, photos & descriptions for the website all done from home. I manage all my own social media accounts & the HRLVLA website.
All this while being (now) 5 months pregnant with our first child, still working my full time job & working on growing my shop. It is why I am constantly thanking everyone who has supported & continue to support me! I could never put in to words how much it means to me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am born and raised in Las Vegas, so there is so much to do out here and so many places to see!
I would definitely take them out to my favorite sushi (SaSa Sushi), pho (Sunflower Vietnamese Restaurant) & Korean BBQ (Kogi Korean BBQ & Seafood Hot Pot) spots.
We would be doing a lot of site seeing on the Strip and also hitting all the fun bars Downtown, they even have free mini concerts which are always a good time. At some point, we would also go check out all the new Breweries that have popped up around the Arts District.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I first off would like to give a huge shoutout to my mom & my husband, they are my 2 biggest fans. Without their love & support, I don’t think I would have had the guts to pursue this dream. Additionally, I want to say thank you to all of my followers & customers, if it were not for them I would not be where I am today. They motivate me to keep on pushing & keep on growing. It is only going UP from here!
