We had the good fortune of connecting with Cass Cleary and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cass, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up I was a very artistic child, I loved anything that had to do with creating such as drawing, painting and sitting down to do my makeup at a very young age. Even the way my though process worked was different then my peers around me. I found schooling and academics to be more difficult for me than the average student, but I was very ‘street’ smart. I was and still am the best problem solver, logical thinker and creator. I think that comes to be the case with a lot of creative minds. I ended up in the world of artistry in 2020 after launching my brow and makeup business, where I get to utilize my creative side everyday.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Pro Microblade and Makeup Artist in Scottsdale, AZ. I opened my business in 2020, after deciding to introduce my talents and skills to the industry and I am so grateful I took that leap to open my doors, especially during one of the most trying years, 2020. Opening up during a pandemic year was definitely a challenge and had its uncertainties but I pushed through and have managed to maintain a successful and busy career which consists of Microblading, Makeup services/education and a product line that includes lashes and accessories. I am so passionate about my services I offer and making everyone who walks into my doors feel confident and beautiful when they leave.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of my favorite spots in town for friends visiting is doing a spa day at Joya Spa at The Omni Montelucia, followed by coffees/brunch at The Henry, dinner spots would consist of Buck & Rider, Ocean 44, Obon Sushi Bar, and drinks at The Global Ambassador.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I grew up with tremendous encouragement from my parents to become whoever I wanted to be in this lifetime. Growing up, no hobby, interest, or future career inspiration was off limits. They were so intentional with letting me figure out my talents, skills and personality without judgement or correction. Their main goal was to just help me to achieve my end result, in anything I have accomplished in life. I think when you have that kind of support around you, it pushed me to reach for opportunities I necessarily may not have without knowing they would be right there if I failed. I will always push and support people the way they did for me, I would not be here in my success without them.
