We had the good fortune of connecting with Chanan Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chanan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my brands success, I would have to say is the ability to execute in real time. Whether it be music, modeling, hosting, or creating, having the confidence and freedom to take that shot is so huge. I’m not saying I always 100% know what I am doing but if I can get it done and not just done but make an impact in my own authentic way that is enough for me. For instance I slid into @Larussell DM about 20 times asking him for an interview before he agreed. The day he released his GCC card I knew it was my chance. If I relied on anyone else to get it done the timing may have been off. I believe in alignment in all things. Paying attention is such a valuable part of life. My mantra for life: “Take Care & Be Aware.”

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So it was one gloomy day during the pandemic and we were all locked in in Hollywood, California. I had always been someone that likes to get into spaces that most can’t give into and I also enjoyed social media but I was kind of flailing and I didn’t really have a purpose when it came to the entertainment industry. I was working my 9-5 at the same time super focused on all the crazy videos, the propaganda and the facts about what was happening in the COVID-19 era. I begin to feel like I was going crazy and then I realized I missed my friends. I missed going to clubs and concerts and dinner and just catching up. I had been so focused on the drama that I was losing sight of my beautiful network and those who I called friends. Then suddenly the idea came to me to create Chanan Rise Live! Thinking about it I was able to have some pretty compelling conversations with some pretty influential people throughout my years but I’ve never been able to capture it. I knew that I needed to execute quickly or I would lose steam on this idea so I began immediately. First I made my flyer and because everyone was locked in to their phones at home I knew this was prime time to get in contact with talent. I started DMing anybody and everybody who I felt was influential or that I admired from any standpoint on social media. I started to get responses to book phone screens prior to the interviews. I was able to come up with my question list and that question list took me all the way through most of the pandemic and I’m still using it today. So Chanan Rise Live became more of a study on these talented people and it’s grown into so much and such a beautiful platform. It’s not just for me to stand on but the people that are creating history at present. With all the excitement it is not always easy to stay focused on the day to day needs of the brand. I have had to reschedule interviews, felt sick and still went on you name it. Doing a live show on Instagram, knowing that anything can happen and nothing can be taken back it really can be a challenge. Through it all though I now have an enterprise forming with Strict Inequality lifestyle line, Liquid Fast a health and fitness company, Crypto Raider where I provide crypto expertise. On the show I book talent, schedule, create flyers, promote, do hair, makeup, lighting and styling. Oh and the theme song is Vibrate Higher by Chanan & Vann found on all streaming platforms. With Chanan Rise Live I’ve been able to really impact my community and the entertainment industry as a whole. I’m pretty stoked about my lineup in the future and I’m blessed and thankful for everyone who has brought me to this moment and been on the show. I am currently focusing on being the best mother to my daughter Monroe, investing, scaling the show and creating new ways to create value for all interested parties. Stay tuned.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Just Landed traveling can be draining. Drop off luggage change and freshen up let’s go to a chill dinner at Maple & Ash I love their oysters. Then head home for some catching up and a night cap.
Day 2 – Smoothies and a trip to Sedona with a hike up bell rock canyon. Lunch at chocola tree cafe, crystal shopping and people watching. I suggest finding a beautiful view of the sunset and then we check out the crazy sky and all it’s stars and planets.
Day 3 – Pool day and bbq the city is nice but there is nothing like getting a group of friends together and getting a lil lit at home. Definitely going until? Definitely yummy food and beautiful people.
Day 4 – Pamper Me Baby
We need a massage, facial, nails, eyebrows and a colonic. Then let’s go shopping at Sephora for skin care makeup and hair products. Dinner at Ocean Prime…More Oysters
Day 5 – Get up let’s work out get grounded and eat fruit and salads all day. Thrift Shopping is so necessary today. I love going to the nicest areas of The Valley and finding vintage treasures.
Day 6 – Let’s hit Old Town
Time for bottle service and standing on couches tonight will be a late one and will definitely include tacos and shaking some tail feathers
Day 7 – definitely a brunch type of day and then top golf yeah top golf is my jam have some snacks and a light buzz. Time to get her to the airport what a fun trip.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout Edison Wheeler who is my Great Uncle and my mentor. As owner of La Louisanne of Los Angeles, California, he has taught me so much about entrepreneurship. The best lesson he exemplified to me was to get up and get after it, never rationalize the reasons why not. Always seek out the truth and know that we were created to bless our people. That is what truly makes a successful business and a leader anyone can stand by. I am grateful beyond measure for the wisdom and experience he has impressed upon me.
