Meet Christina Lee | Owner and CEO of La’Shae House of Style

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christina, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, IL but I currently reside in sunny Arizona. As a child, I loved rummaging through the closets of my mother, Tuanzette and grandmother, Marcel to see what treasures I could find to play dress up in around the house. I was absolutely mesmerized by their statement fashion pieces and their beautiful collection of shoes and accessories. Marcel and Tuanzette shared valuable life lessons that groomed me into the woman that I am today and they are the inspiration behind La’Shaé House of Style.

As I navigated through life, I developed my own sense of style that was bold, confident and audacious. I received many compliments about my style and oftentimes people would reach out to me for styling tips, closet makeovers and outfit inspiration for special events. As a result, I turned my passion and love for fashion into a wardrobe styling business. I also received requests to share the details of the stores and brands that supplied some of my statement looks. The wheels started to spin in my head and I realized instead of me redirecting people to other companies, I could provide my own personal line of curated looks to the masses which is what birthed La’Shaé House of Style.

I was raised on the motto that you should be your own walking billboard. You should not only make the right first impression but make a lasting impression every time. Fashion is great tool for building confidence and developing one’s personal uniqueness.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
La’Shaé House of Style is an online women’s clothing boutique based out of Arizona catering to sizes S-3X. We provide statement looks that are for the bold, fabulous and confident woman who wants to turn heads when she walks into a room. Our clothing represents the classy and feminine woman who loves the skin she’s in and she will definitely exemplify Queen energy. We have showstopping looks for every occasion and our prices are affordable. We provide stellar customer service and FAST shipping! All of these attributes is what sets us apart from our competition. We provide a lifestyle and not just a look.

We’re excited about continuing to expand into new markets and spreading our brand to the masses. We ABSOLUTELY love our customers and we are so grateful for their support! We strive to continue to provide dazzling pieces to keep our customers coming back for more.

Starting a business is not for the faint at heart and it’s not always easy. However, I know my purpose and I know the end goal which keeps me going. There are highs and lows about entrepreneurship but the greatest lesson is to never give up. Success is a mindset and what you put into it, is what you will get out of it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m honestly a homebody but I do like to get out from time to time. Anyone that comes to visit me in Arizona will explore my community in Gilbert and I would also take them to Phoenix and Scottsdale. I don’t have a favorite go to place or a favorite restaurant but I do try new adventures as much as I can. Arizona is like a home away from home so oftentimes my friends enjoy my pool, relaxing and eating some great food that is prepared courtesy of my husband who’s makes the most delicious meals.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am incredibly thankful for the supportive tribe of family and close friends in my life that have and continue to motivate me throughout my entrepreneurial journey and my life overall. I am extremely grateful for my wonderful husband, Mr. Michael Lee Jr., who is one of my biggest cheerleaders. He encouraged me to step out on faith and start my online boutique. I can always count on him to stand by my side during the peaks and valleys of this thing we call “life.” Our handsome son, Prince Michael Lee, is my biggest inspiration to keep chasing my dream because I am determined to create a legacy for him and generational wealth for my family.

I would also like to acknowledge my mother and late grandmother for the countless lessons and values that they’ve instilled in me. These beautiful women groomed me to be a bold, courageous, god fearing, confident and perseverant woman. A huge part of my success is from their unwavering love and support. I know my grandmother is still cheering me on in spirit.
