Meet Chun Swae | Runway Model & Social Media Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chun Swae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chun, what are you inspired by?
I’m heavily inspired by and influenced by Nicki Minaj. Just growing up and seeing my favorite rapper dominate an entire genre of music (rap), while reviving a genre at the same time (Female rap) was a lot for me when I was younger. Although having someone to look up to that’s doing things I plan to do in the future was amazing. She’s laying a Pinkprint for me to follow when I start to conduct more high-end business for myself as a model as well as any business venture’s I may pursue such as my upcoming clothing line!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a Runway model, Makeup artist, as well as an advid social media influencer and a slew other things that all tie together. What makes me different is that I take what I do very seriously while making it look easy. I am a gay man that models in 6in. heels. Many will say they’ve seen other gay men do what I do but I have an energy that just takes over me and I become a different person! Anyone that knows me personally will tell you Dion and Chun Swae are two completely different people. Dion is a smart, creative sweatpants and t-shirt guy who loves high-end bags and shoes. Chun Swae though? Chun Swae is the whole package. The nails, shoes bags makeup make a completely different person. Chun Swae likes the glitz and glamor and executive ubers and $2,000 purses he shouldn’t buy because he has $2,001 in his account and will be broke until the next pay day. Nobody ever sees that part haha Chun Swae is the millionaire now, that Dion will be in 5 years! My journey was pretty easy. Being gay I naturally have a fashion sense and eye for nice things. Being able to conduct my affairs with a mature mindset helps too because growing up I never kicked it with people my age. My siblings were older and kinda like extra parents in a good way. At 11/12 years old my friends outside of school were 16/17 etc. and would tag me along wherever they went and I saw things differently and learned to always kept a mature mindset. When the world watches me on the runway, or see’s me in a commercial or in a billboard, I want the people i’ve met to remember my name and face. To know that they’re the ones who are shaping me now into the person I will be when they watch me on the big screen!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting I’d take her to Sedona or Flagstaff! Both are far out and secluded from what we normally live like in the city. We’d enjoy all the trails and Jeep mountain tours Sedona has to offer! Maybe around day 3/4 take a short drive from Sedona to Flagstaff where they have a great restaurant called Lumberyard Brewing Co! They have a great happy hour deal and great Bang Bang cauliflower. After we’d walk the strip near the restaurant before heading back to Sedona to catch the sunset and take golden hour pics at Sunset Park! Then finish out the weekend with an at-home movie night/sleepover.
