We had the good fortune of connecting with Ciara Bennett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ciara, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balance! lol One of the hardest things I have had to learn as a mom boss. Between my own personal development, educating my self on business, being a mother of 3 children and staying up to date with my creative abilities I have learned balance is nearly impossible. What I have learned is if you want to do business and not loose your self, motherhood , hobbies its so important to be flexible. I don’t believe balance would describe what it takes to be a entrepreneur because everyday you have to choose which part of your life needs more work or less work to be effective all around. I have learned to be flexible and willing to learn new things and let go of old ineffective ways daily. Building a successful business is a journey that doesn’t necessarily require balance but more so flexibility so when times get hard you can modify and move.
the quality of bending easily without breaking.
the ability to be easily modified.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Good Question lol I am such a homebody but i do love good food! i would most definitely treat them to some of my favorite restaurants in the valley like Ruth Chris, Hash Kitchen they have amazing shrimp and grits. The henry for great vibes and for beautiful sunsets Tempe town lake. Arizona is so beautiful all in its self it doesn’t take much to impress people 🙂
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest fans through out my entrepreneur journey have been my kids. They have been my taste testers and cheerleaders all in one! I love to educate my self and read books daily , right now i am reading the E-Myth which is a book on how to not fail as a small business and the ultimate goal is to change your perspective on business and success. It teaches that no matter how big or small you business is it needs structure and a plan to be profitable and successful! Local First and Archwood exchange have helped me Alot in my beginning stages of my business. They most defiantly seen value in me before I fully seen it. I’m so thankful and blessed to have came across local groups who were truly selfless and had a desire to help local entrepreneurs.
