Meet Colleen Biggs: Pioneer for Women change-makers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Colleen Biggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Colleen, what do you attribute your success to?
The success of a brand has more to do with the consumer than the actual business and the products and services it offers. Yes, it’s important to ensure that your product/service provides a solution for the consumer, but more importantly, how you serve your community is key! I have found the success behind Lead Up for Women to be serving first. We stand for the success of other women. Every platform we create and every opportunity we provide women is applied and measured to one simple rule.

Will this opportunity help her SHOW UP, BE SEEN, provide a judgment-free and competition-free zone, and finally will this assist her in sharing her story/message for growth? If the answer is YES, we give the green light and create the opportunity! We believe in the law of attraction as it is simple. “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Meaning, sometimes the return will not come from those you serve, but it must come to you from someplace because that is the law. We serve without expectation from those we directly serve. We insist on the success of all women, period.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Lead Up For Women is an elite organization that seeks to unite and inspire change for women from all walks of life. We are change-makers, inspirational leaders, and have the desire to create a better future for all women. Women pioneers from our past have been trailblazers for us to have the opportunity to be entrepreneurs, have the freedoms we enjoy, and use our voices for change. Lead Up for Women continues the charge and provides the platforms needed for women to continue to have the space necessary to share their stories, inspire change, motivate others to take bold actions, and educate for immediate impact. After a history of trying to please others, molding my beliefs to “fit-in” and allowing others to label me through judgment, I found the voice I was looking for and now know my purpose on earth is to provide women with those opportunities to break out of the cage they have placed themselves in and light their creative genius lamps to lead the way to change for all women. Women were not created to be silent. We are powerful leaders that must show up authentically as ourselves to ensure we provide that opportunity and permission for those “watching us” to do the same. As women, we are the leaders in our homes, community, country, and are the #12 consumers of products. We have the most influence on change, yet, we shrink back and play small and put everyone else first, juggling several identities in life. My mission is simple: Provide every woman a platform and voice to show up as her, authentically, all the time, everywhere, and in every situation, so those around her have the permission to do the same.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
You bet! Lead Up For Women is an elite organization that seeks to unite and inspire change for women from all walks of life.

We have the most influence on change, yet, we tend to shrink back and play small and put everyone else first, juggling several identities in life.

I love to eat and there is just about every type of food available here in Arizona for your taste buds to relish in. My favorite is Mexican food, so I tend to navigate towards Nandos or any local Mexican Food restaurant located in the valley.

You could spend a lifetime exploring Arizona hiking trails and still not step foot on all of them, trust me we have a list that we are crossing off, and we are still hundreds away from hiking them all!

Downtime with my kids and grandkids is equally important, so we love camping in the mountains, especially the Rim. Majestic views, the sweet smell of pine trees and cool weather is the combination we enjoy when we are seeking a get-away weekend!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Lead Up for Women wouldn’t exist without the support of my coaches, those that mentored me and sponsored me during my corporate working days, and certainly would not be as successful as it is today, reaching the masses of women, without the support and love from women that desire change. This massive shout-out goes to every woman out there that knows deep down she deserves more in life and desires to be the change-maker and live a life thriving and not simply surviving. As a community we are the strongest possible, we soar to new heights when we know we are loved, supported, accepted, and believed in.
