We had the good fortune of connecting with Dana Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting our own business was to have a family business together and be able to grow something with our children as well as be able to succeed and grow within our limitless world instead of underneath someone else’s thumb. We wanted the idea to be with our family as much as possible and show our children anything is possible with determination and dreams.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lethal Inkjection Art sets us apart from others because we go above and beyond to help people out. We are available to answer questions 24/7 and I directly deal with almost every single customer. I am most proud of all the hard work my husband and artists have put in and it makes me proud to watch them be booked out. We got to where we are today by keeping our goal and dream in eyesight and making sure that every move we made was for the benefit of the end goal. Opening our shop hasn’t been easy and their are rocky times but it is all worth it. We overcame our challenges by remaining positive and keep hustling. It is all about the hustle! The lessons we have learned along the way is to remain determined and positive and take each challenge step by step and everything sorts out if you go hard. I want the world to know that we are a family and we treat everyone that comes into our shop EXACTLY how we expect to be treated.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting I would bring them to my shop to get a tattoo with me and then I would take them to the Grand Canyon because it is amazing. We would stay at the Grand Canyon the entire time and hike down to the river. Along the way we would stop and eat but just take in the beauty around.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband deserves all of the shoutout because he is the talented one and the tattoo artist. I chose to open Lethal Ink to support him and watch him do everything he loves and grow as a person and a artist.
