Meet David | YouTube.com/BlueLineGarage

We had the good fortune of connecting with David and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi David, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
This has been my second business as I had one other business in communications from 2003 to 2006 in NYC that was successful but sold it when I knew my true calling was in law enforcement. I started with the NYPD and then relocated to Arizona where I continued being a police officer.
In March of 2019 I was struck by a vehicle while on duty which caused life altering changes including losing part of my leg. Sadly I had to medically retire a year later and being limited in what I can do.
I did notice while working on my wife’s car all my sorrow and sadness weren’t even a thought like it has been after choosing to retire before my time. The more I worked on cars the more I wanted to show others how easy which led me to posting my repairs on YouTube. After running out of things to show people I started buying crash up cars to fix and build custom machinery to show if you can think it, build it.
The name of my YouTube channel is Blue Line Garage where the Blue Line represents law enforcement and Garage is pretty simple as I do most of my work in my garage.
I hope every can subscribe to my channel and support me by leaving comments on videos you watch.
Thank You
-David

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My father is the one I would have to be grateful in showing me how to work on vehicles. He showed me with a little common sense and the right tools you can fix almost anything. He would never buy me games but was always happy handing me a wrench and holding the flashlight. Now when people ask me how did I learn to do what I do, I always reply it’s common sense and I learned that from my father.
I can only hope my son follows my footsteps one day.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I take all my visiting friends to South mountain just before the sun goes down so they can see the Phoenix skyline along with the sun setting.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I just want to give all law enforcement officers a shout out for risking their lives everyday like I once did. Everyone makes it home.
