We had the good fortune of connecting with Devon Tillman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Devon, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success comes from my passion to help others. I started my journey as a skinny kid who knew nothing about working out but, I had a goal to gain muscle because I had been skinny all my life. I stuck to it, gained muscle and confidence and at that point I knew what I wanted to do in life. The way I felt after achieving those type of results stuck with me and my new goal was to make others feel the same way I had felt.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Die Trying Training Facility is a new gym located in the central area of Phoenix, Az. We’ve been open for about 10 months now and we are a completely private training facility. We have both independent trainers and Die Trying trainers but we’re all a team here. The gym is very diverse, super welcoming and high energy.
What sets us apart from other gyms is the team oriented culture we’ve created. I have a team of 6 trainers that are on my team all with different skill sets and training styles. When you become a client of ours you’re able to train with any or all of them, we like to keep our clients engaged
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Me and my girlfriend love Ramen! So our spot is clever koi, they have some of the best food in the city. There’s plenty other spots here as well like Lo-Lo’s chicken & waffles, always good.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d first like to thank my loving girlfriend Elissa Kawamoto for staying by my side throughout this journey and for pushing me to become better at what i do everyday. Secondly, I’d like to thank Jason Strayhand for showing me his ways, Jason was my first real mentor i studied this dude day in and day out. His energy, knowledge and passion for what he does is something i truly admired.
