We had the good fortune of connecting with Didi Lawson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Didi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to my success is make sure that all the steps I take are done with integrity. As a Writer and Tarot Card Reader there are a lot of reasons to be skeptical of what I say. Its important to me that all the things I put out are as well- informed as possible. The challenge to do things while being more informed forces me to perfect my craft. Putting quality ahead of quantity is most important to my success.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I run my own blog, because I love writing. The things I write about are usually in the realm of spirituality, linguistics, and social commentary. I’m the most proud of my consistency blogging because its not always easy to be a creative person at the mercy of algorithms. Stepping up to the plate over and over again even when the results aren’t obvious is how I got better at blogging with simple dedication, The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is that I have to put myself out there. Hiding in the shadows will only amount to more shadows. Something I want people to know about Savant Magick is that while I often challenge others with my writing, I’m equally as critical of myself and always looking for ways to improve personally, interpersonally, and artistically.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in Phoenix

To Hangout- Drive in Movie @west wind
To visit and drink- The first draft book bar, you can get a good IPA and Novel so win win.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I lost my mom in January to covid and diabetes. Mom was one of the most hard working, openminded, and warm people I’ve met. She was always extremely transparent with me as a child and practiced humility. I take that with me in my journey that there’s always ways I can improve, and that there’s no one on earth, no matter their station in life that I can’t learn from. My mom having such a large heart is the reason I can do what I do, and the standards I hold myself to.
