Meet Dieyna Knox | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dieyna Knox and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dieyna, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
The most important thing I have accomplished as a parent is raising two beautiful children and equip them with the proper tools to succeed in life.
Whether physical, spiritual, emotional or even financial, I challenge them daily to be critical thinkers, inquirers, negotiators, and make the right decisions. They have learned to look for the proper tools in their toolbox, based off what they face on a day-to-day basis.
Even when the wrong choice is made, I have taught them to own up to it and remain accountable. Most will say that they are children, and may be too and that’s exactly it! I am a firm believer that those things should be taught early on in life. To each their own but it’s worked wonders for us!
Another thing I feel is a blessing, is having been able to expose them to different countries and experience different cultures, including yf my Senegalese and French cultures. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the proud owner of a company called Fab & Organized which was created in early 2019. We are a Professional Organizing company and have helped many companies, families and individuals get organized! Being able to not only remove physical but mental clutter in people’s lives has been overwhelmingly joyful, and simply put, the best feeling in the world! Every organizing job is a new experience, a new challenge which we have been able to embrace. The clients we’ve worked with all have different stories, and backgrounds which has helped us understand the story or the why behind each project.
I started this company out of my love and passion for organizing things and keeping clean and neat spaces, while remaining functional.
Organizing so many of my friends spaces while adding a small touch of space design, was received with such an overwhelming positive response. To be able to witness how their new decluttered and organized spaces had allowed them to regain clarity, mental space and even productivity has been mind blowing.
This is what ultimately led me to turning this skillset into a business. Hoping to make a bigger impact on many many others!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would make sure to take them hike some of our beautiful trails. Enjoying some of this amazing authentic mexican food would also be a must. Manuel’s on E Indian School Rd would definitely be on the list. Walking around Tempe Lake and Botanicals garden would be other great spots. Evening hangout in Downtown’s rooftops would also be a must! We would probably end up with a shopping trip to Scottsdale Mall or the Arcadia area.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I couldn’t have been the parent I am today without two amazing role models I’ve had the chance to shadow and learn from over the years. These individuals have made such a positive impact in my life and I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the chance to tell them. Ellen Dinwiddie Smith and Marstro Mark Russell Smith, thank you for having taught me so much!
