We had the good fortune of connecting with Drea Quintero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Drea, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Transparency, integrity and passion would be the top three factors. I always aspire to set realistic expectations for my clients and always work diligently to research the most effective active ingredients and treatment options. I absolutely love the education aspect that comes with sharing the “why” and “how” to achieve desired results and look forward to helping my clients find solutions for their skin needs.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a licensed aesthetician and SWINA graduate although funnily enough I have a Bachelors of Arts in political science and a sales and make up artistry background. I explored my career options quite a bit after college until I finally realized my calling is being a healer/skin nerd. I honestly never thought I could be so passionate about helping people find the right solutions for their skin issues but deeper than that I just genuinely love helping people feel good about themselves. Another thing that absolutely thrills me about my industry is that the education is always expanding so there’s always a new/better protocol/product to treat areas of concern with.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start by driving them to the Phoenix zoo! Probably head on a hike to south mountain and then grab a cider at cider corps. Maybe a bite and drink at crescent ballroom after that but definitely would make my way to cobra arcade bar for some game time and then enjoy some tacos or birria ramen from the Baja roots food truck outside. Definitely would pop into the Phoenix art museum as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom for always encouraging me to change things in my life that I don’t love. My mentor Thuy Van Belkom for being a bad ass instructor and all around awesome human being.
