We had the good fortune of connecting with Dubs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dubs, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been passionate about music and when I finally had the opportunity to start releasing it I did, me and some of my closest friends came together and decided to build a company behind the whole movement.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a rapper and am constantly putting out new music/videos to share with the world. I think what sets me apart is my understanding that this is something I do not HAVE to do, it’s a privilege that I GET to do. Understanding that allows me to really have fun and explore with my craft, I’m constantly working at sharpening my skills all around. This road was definitely not easy for me I’ve faced many ups and downs but I love everything about it. I was forced to remain out of my comfort zone and reflect internally on myself and what is and isn’t working in my favor. A huge lesson I learned is to keep moving forward, a bad day is not a bad life, and to be present in my life and not drifting away into my thoughts and/or fears. I want the world to know that WE ARE COMING… you might not have seen or heard of us yet BUT YOU WILL. Just a kid with a dream who likes to have fun and live life to the fullest, and hopes to impact others to do the same.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly I just moved here from Flint, Michigan. I would actually be the friend you’d have to show around, from what I’ve done and seen so far I’d definitely take them hiking, or over to Lake Havasu or something of that matter. The outdoor places around here are all so beautiful and fun, I need to get out a little more haha.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most definitely, I’d like to shoutout my brothers for always backing my every movement, Shout-out to my brothers Solo and Meech. Also to my team who help bring all my creations to life, we’re all a family. Shout-out to Connor, Jackman, and Zack for always helping propel my visions forward. Lastly but definitely not the least is my parents, they’ll support me to the end and I will never take that for granted. I love and appreciate everybody mentioned and those who I forgot to mention I love you as well.
