We had the good fortune of connecting with Elena Spitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elena, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was always passionate about taking photos of my friends and family! I was THAT person who always asked to take photos. But I wasn’t just snapping photos, I liked to coordinate the whole thing: fix people’s outfits, move them around, adding props, changing locations, creating themes, etc.

This passion grew from a hobby with my iPhone to my first DSLR camera in the middle of pandemic. I started watching endless YouTube videos and learning everything about photography. I completed several online courses, and found amazing online photographer’s community Horizon Found, which paid a huge part in my business.

Photography allows me to be creative and have my own vision. I have a pleasure of capturing unique and special moments and share my artistic vision with my clients.

There is nothing better than delivering a new gallery to a family or a couple! It brings me so much joy as I have an honor to capture my client’s special moments that they will keep for the rest of the lifetime!

Building my photography business was very exciting and scary at the same time but I knew that I’m willing to take a risk and pursue my long time dream of having my own Elena Spitz Photography business!

All of this essentially lead me to pursuing Elena Spitz Photography professionally!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am Arizona Portrait Photographer and I love capturing Couples, Families and Fashion! I love candid moments and genuine feeling.

Client experience is my main priority. I want to understand my client’s unique needs, preferences and vision. I tailor my photography services for each client though mood boards and open discussion where we share ideas to insure my client’s vision is fully realized.

I would not be where I am today without my life experiences moving across the world on my own, putting a lot of hard work and dedication in my education, career and dreams. It wasn’t easy but I was taught to “keep trying and never give up”! So I did just that.

Photography is an outlet for my creativity and it’s is the greatest satisfaction to deliver my art to my clients. Here are few kind words from my clients:

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start the day with the trip to the local coffee shop “Peixoto Coffee Roasters” in downtown Chandler, grab a delicious bagels from small family restaurant “Bongiorno Bagels” in Gilbert and go explore the Usery Mountain Regional Park and Salt river. It’s perfect for hiking, nature exploration, water activities and of course taking photos!

I would highly recommend driving to Sedona and Horseshoe Bend to experience the amazing Arizona nature and colors!

Downtown Gilbert is perfect for dinner and hanging out. You can find a variety of different food, sweets, coffee shops, breweries and more! I would definitely recommend checking it out.
