Meet Erica Seagrave | Strategic Business Consultant & Executive Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erica Seagrave and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have owned two prior medical services companies prior to my consulting business. Having a business coach and consultant is critical for small business owners. I am very passionate about business and would like to be involved and assist others to achieving their business goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
MJS Consultants, LLC was started in 2018 after selling one of my medical services companies. Throughout my journey as a young female business owner and CEO, I made many mistakes and learned by trial and error. I did not have a consistent business coach or business partner I could count on for business advice and guidance. My desire is to act as a trusted business coach and consultant for small business owners so they do not have to go through the hardships that I did.
What sets me apart from other coaches and consultants is that I grew a 7 figure business from the ground up with no partners, investors, or capital. I am now able to take the skills I learned from my previous businesses and apply them to my consulting business now. I know firsthand what it is like to wear many hats as an entrepreneur, owner, and CEO and juggle all of those responsibilities. Also, I interview and vet all of my clients. I do not accept every client. It is essential that I am the right fit for my client and they are the right fit for me.
I have learned many valuable lessons along my journey. One of which is to listen to people. Take time and listen to hear their needs so you can address their challenges. I learn just as much from clients as they do from me.
I want the world to know that taking calculated risks and doing what you are passionate about is rewarding and can be profitable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I have friends and family members visit Arizona, I take them hiking to some of the best trails in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Sedona to enjoy the beautiful red rock, shopping, and scenery, the Grand Canyon, Old Town Scottsdale to enjoy cocktails, shopping, and eating, The Quarter for shopping and Dominick’s, and one my favorite restaurants, the Vu, in Fountain Hills to enjoy the view and city lights of Mesa.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, mother, and two boys are huge advocates and support systems for my success. I am also grateful for my former Operations Manager and his contributions to my previous medical services company. He taught be a lot about managing employees and operating a business more efficiently.
