We had the good fortune of connecting with Francine Bogran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francine, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Everything is a risk You can get in your car and get in an accident or go for a walk and get bitten by a dog. You can’t live life to the fullest without taking risks. They say we’re in a recession that may turn into a crisis. I still plan on opening up my buisness. No stopping this girl. I’ve never failed anything and don’t plan on my buisness being the first. Quite opposite. Success is swimming around us and in buisness.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Winners never quit and quitters never win. Never give up on something you believe in.
I started cosmetology school in my 30’s. One would say that is not ideal. Five years later I’m rockin’ it! You can’t give up because of a bad chapter in your life . You must keep going because your story doesn’t end there. Though we’re in the early stages of a recession I won’t quit. Opening up a salon will be a dream come true.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Maple and Ash is by far one of the best restaurants around here. Dinner there is always more than fun! If a friend were to come visit for a week this time of year I’d say let’s head up North to Flagstaff and rent a cabin for a week. Snow is in full force and making fires as building snowmen and roasting marshmallows are all the fun!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give a shout out to both men in my life. My loving fiancé Mateo M. and my talented son Ray whom always stand behind me and love me unconditionally.
