We had the good fortune of connecting with Futuristic . and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Futuristic, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Why build someone else’s empire when you can build your own?
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a musician who has been living solely off music and my other ventures for the last 10 years. It was far from easy but well worth it. The progression of my career is a wild one. From doing shows in front of 3 people to performing in front of 20,000, being on national television including Good Morning America & The Jimmy Fallon Show. I have now performed in all 50 states and done 20 shows outside of the US touring over 200 days out of the year for 4 years straight. More recently I have began jumping into other avenues. My clothing line “Sheeesh World” was sold in 75 zumiez locations. I am invested in a film property in LA. Own 3 other properties myself, have a label promotion company called Dropout Records & most importantly just launched the worlds first one stop shop for artists called Indie Amplify (IndieAmplify.Com). The lessons are lifelong ones. Don’t Lose your happiness on the pursuit for more. Learn balance & patience. Never give up!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dlite or sweatest season for breakfast. Shopping at Guestlist. A tour through my home studio/artist creative house. Lunch at Thai Rama. A Hoop session at The Lab or The Phacilty & dinner at Murphys Law.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
One book that I enjoyed reading was Millionaire Success Habits by Dean Graziosi. If I had a shout out to give it would be to both of my parents. My mom taught me all the morals I needed to be a good person & my dad showed me the independent business owner structure and is the most positive person i know.
