We had the good fortune of connecting with Gia Klimes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gia, how do you think about risk?
In life there’s always risks. If you don’t take risks in your life , you will never grow. Stepping out into the unknown is hard. , but you can’t let your fear paralyze you. I was a single mom I was divorced when my daughter was 4 years old. Before I was married I was a senior makeup artist for Mac. I quit my job to raise my daughter after I was married. I left my marriage. And had a dream. To move to Hollywood. To be a makeup artist for the red carpet. Working for shows. Designers. I had hardly any money and a child also with a dream. . We slept in an apartment with no furniture. When we first moved to California. We never gave up. I networked. I worked for free. Establishing myself. Trusting in god and myself. Many scary nights. But we believed. We took a chance. If you don’t take a risk you will never know the greatness within you. You will never regret trying. If you try then you have already overcome the fear . To me. Failing us never trying. Keep moving. Work hard. Be humble. The risk my just change your life. Dreams do come true. But you must rage a chance. Move. You can’t move forward without taking a step You will never regret trying. But you will regret not trying. Wondering. Could I have ? I am now a Makeup artist I have worked on many. Red carpet. Oscars. , Emmys., Designers,. Shows , I have had many interviews. Supported many brands. Ambassador for many lines. I also give back to help battered women feel beautiful again. I appreciate everything in my life. The storms helped me grow your worth the risk. You have one life. Live it. Go for it. Fear us manifested only in your mind. My daughter is a model. Our next goal together is vogue magazine.. Never give up. Take a step. Life us to short to wonder. Blessings to all. Gia.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a makeup artist in Hollywood. Arizona. And Chicago. I also am an ambassador and educator for skin I also give back to domestic violence. Making women feel beautiful again. I left for California with a dream. I knew no one. I and my daughter. Zahira. Had come across Judy Taylor. President of Disney channel. All doors opened by networking. Hard work. Being loyal. Respecting my clients privacy. I worked many fashion shows. I worked with designers for Emmys. Oscars. I had many challenges in the beginning. I felt like a fish out of water when I moved to California. I had hardly any money knew no one. So much competition and great artists in Hollywood. But I just stay true to myself. I watched other artists. I worked for free. Charity events and shows. . Step by step I had met all the right people. I am very private. I’m humble. And I realize we all should support each other. Rise together.. Tge lessons I learned along the way. Was to never compare yourself to others. Focus on you. Be happy for others. Never give up. Make a plan. Set goals. And trust in the process. Success is not overnight. Be grateful. Always show your gratitude. Stay grounded. We all have a gift. If you find your passion. You find success. They go hand and hand. Nothing is easy. But tough times make tough people. And it’s then your dreams become reality. What sets me apart is my love for others. My work ethic. Going since and beyond. Never having an ego And I gave the doll to succeed. To live by example for my daughter. Single moms can be all that dream to be. They can rise alone. They can be a boss babe. But also being humble. And giving the credit to the one who picked me up every time I fell and wanted to quit. God. Thank you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would go to the Grove. That’s the first place I had gone when I had money to take my daughter to eat I would also show them Calabasas . The first place I worked a celebrity event. For breast cancer. I then would fly them to Arizona. Where my heart will forever be. And take them to phoenix fashion week. Where I was a makeup artist for the beautiful Ashley Paige. And @thatguymua. I spend much of my time at the gym. But I would take them to Sedona and fashion square mall to shop. Then to Gilbert Az as well so I guess I would need more then a week to spoil them. I am grateful for all things
