We had the good fortune of connecting with Greg Rollett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Greg, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Having kids really put my priorities in check. I didn’t want to be absent from their lives. I didn’t start my business so that I had to work 24 hours a day and miss the most important moments in their (and my) lives. It because important to start blocking my time and building my weeks based around the things that were important to me and then schedule my work in to fit around my priorities. For me, this means no calls, meetings or appointments before 10am so I can get to the gym, have breakfast with my family and take the kids to school. This also means no calls, meetings or appointments after 5pm Eastern, no matter how important a call or appointment might be. I stay off my phone, computer and all devices from 5pm-8pm to be present with my family. This also puts pressure on me to get as much as a possibly can between 10am-5pm and then again from 8pm-10pm. I find that by having these rules, I am not only a better father and husband, but a better business owners. I give everything 100% attention and focus and force myself to get the job done, or build a team that can execute better than me. To me it’s less about balance and more about priorities. What is important gets scheduled and what gets scheduled gets done. It’s as simple as that.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Everyday we battle distractions. Distractions from ideas. Distractions from other people. Distractions from social media, the news and the world around us. It is distraction that robs us of creating truly legendary work. Those who can not only tune out distraction, but focus on creating and producing are the ones who will leave a legacy and an impact on the world. At Ambitious, we strive to help entrepreneurs eliminate distraction, get more done and perform at their peak. We believe in the notion of thinking we have limitless potential, but are more excited about helping other entrepreneurs to push their limits each and every day. We have developed products to solve this problem and see it as an opportunity to help the world by unlocking even more entrepreneurs and their potential to create and product products, content and programs that make life better for us all.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Is this only focused on AZ? If so, I would not be qualified to answer…

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife is my rock. She’s known me since her Sweet 16 and has heard every idea and crazy thought that has ever come out of my brain. The best part, she’s been supportive of them all and has done an amazing job holding down our family while I continue to build products that help as many people as possible.
