We had the good fortune of connecting with Holly Hart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Holly, every day, we talk about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea of starting Hartfelt Healings found me! I started seeing spirit since I was a teen. I let the gift subside and then it would randomly come up in my mid 20s. Again, not doing much with the information I was receiving until 2019. In 2019, I met with my husband’s cousin’s wife and she told me if I can see spirit I can communicate with them. She told me to sit down and do a reading on her. She was the start of it all! I started to come out of the spiritual closet by telling my family and friends. I started practicing with anyone who would sit with me to do a reading for free. I worked full time, so it became a side hustle. From there my feedback was that each reading was so heartfelt, amazing, on point, and healing. I stayed up late one night talking to one of my best friends and we said HARTfelt Healings playing on my last name and feedback. Fast forward four years and now I do this full time. I left my 11 year career as a Special Educator to pursue Hartfelt Healings full time!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am an Intuitive Medium and owner of Hartfelt Healings. I feel what sets me apart is that I am authentic to who I am. I am a ball of energy, light hearted, and very silly. If you meet me for a reading, out on the town, or just start following me, you’re going to meet the same Holly. I stay true to my values and don’t pretend to know everything. I believe if you sit with me for a reading or group reading you’re meant to be with me. My passion has always been helping people. It started by helping kids with special needs, then training new employees and now helping the grieving heal just a little bit. I don’t claim to heal all of the grief, because that is impossible, but I can bring you a little closer to your loved ones in Heaven for a time period.

I am most excited about the expansion of a branch of Hartfelt Healings which is Hartfelt Healers. I am working with developing mediums of all ages. My expansion includes gifted children as well! I work one on one with developing mediums in person or virtual, I created a Hartfelt Healers University, and I hold classes on Monday nights for developing mediums. I am your spiritual tutor. Also exciting news, I am international now!!

There are so many challenges that I face as a business owner. The worst has been people not taking me seriously about my connections to spirit side. I understand it isn’t for everyone, but I do have a beautiful gift and I want to share it with the world! The other part is financial. It is easier for me to go back and make the paycheck and live comfortable again. But I LOVE what I do now. I love the flexibility, the time with my family and my soul feels pulled to do it. It doesn’t feel like work even though I work all the time. I have overcome my challenges is by telling everyone what I do and not caring anymore about their opinions of me and what I do. As far as financial, I try to live within our means and be grateful for what I have.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend wasn’t from here, I would take her to The Scott Resort! We would go get our makeup done at The Sparkle Bar then dinner and drinks around downtown Scottsdale. We would dance like we did in our 20s. We would also take the Champagne Train throughout the valley! I wouldn’t let her leave without eating at Revolu in Peoria. We would hike Thunderbird Mountain and Deems Hills. She loves massages so we would try a Zen Head Spa Massage location and for the body I would take her to Desert Sage Bodyworks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My number one supporter has been my husband. Every time I want to quit he says, “no, you’ve got this!” I couldn’t do it without him emotionally or financially. My kids too! They pray for me before readings, always stay quiet when I am doing a virtual reading and always show or say they are proud of me.

The other shout out goes to all my friends and family, but specifically my friend Ashley, Alison and Carrie! Ashley has been with me since the beginning. She’s been there for me for countless panic attacks when I have called and said I can’t do it anymore or I am too nervous to go into a big group reading. She’s been there with me for numerous ideas too! She refers me to everyone! She wholeheartedly believes in me. We talk all hours of the night and she is real with me.

Alison is another one that truly believes in me and sees my full potential. She gets me excited about all things business! She helps me when I am feeling overwhelmed and stuck on ideas too. Alison helps me with my email lists, organization, content ideas, projects, content creation and always planning for my future. She hops on Zoom to help me run through all my technology anxiety. We have great brainstorming sessions, She allows space for me to vent, to get excited, to be all over the place and still keeps moving forward helping me!

I truly could not do this without Carrie from Desert Sage Bodywork. She allows me the space to host events, readings, and classes. She is the first to say come in for a massage or Reiki when I am needing relaxation! She is uplifting and my business bestie! She took me under her wing right after I left teaching. During this time, I was trying to find locations to hold my readings. I was moving away from the coffee shop readings. She welcomed me in with open arms!

I can’t go without shouting out Pam who allowed me to do my first virtual reading and helps me whenever she can with business ideas and information. She is a business genius, in my opinion! Shayna and Lisa too, they are my best friends from a young age and they are supportive. They believe in me and all my steps with Hartfelt Healings.

As far as family, I give the shout out to my mom! She is another one that has heard my panic over the phone about doing readings when the imposter syndrome would approach. Thank goodness those days are over, but there were many. She reminds me entrepreneurship is not easy and it takes time. She refers me to all of her friends and then they become clients.

Also as stated before my husband’s cousin’s wife, Stephanie! She believed in me right away and pushed me out of my comfort zone to do my first reading on her! I grew confidence that I had the gift after meeting with her!

Every friend has supported and loved me through this journey and many family members too! I thank them all!
