We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacob Massey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacob, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
What my business brings to my community and the world is to understand what our innate access to healing is through our body, mind and spirit and giving an experience of it. I work both one on one and do community workshop where i help people understand their bodies in holistic and intimate ways so they may reorient their experience towards healing. I’m an educator of how energy interacts with the body. I’ve found that the world still has a limited perception of what is possible when it comes to having an empowered and healed way of life. By understanding our innate healing intelligence within our body we can access healing and connection that was not possible before. I bring and communities into a direct experience of that possibility. I believe if this was to be a standard part of societal education we would have a lot less of the current medical and cultural issues we have today. I teach and heal with the body because that’s our closest environment that we can work with daily and access empowerment in our life. Trained in years of movement, body work therapies and energetic therapies I come to help people come into this direct experience of healing.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work has been a way of life for me. What sets me apart from others is that my service is truly the discovery of what i found in my individual life and how it translates universally to everyone to heal. I have had a series of mentors and insights that included athletics, holistic modalities, and a deep passion of understanding the process of the body and embodiment. What i am most excited about is helping others feel free and happy in their body. To get where i am professionally today has been a deep journey of understanding my body and emotions. It has not all been easy as i have been through health challenges from autoimmune issues, emotional challenges to physical challenges that i have had to holistically understand and heal. Its been a winding path of finding mentors and finding understanding. Today i can confidently say i have healed more than %95 of what i have experienced. What i have learned from my challenges is how the emotional and physical are deeply related and how to bring others into the same exploration, understanding and healing i have had. And hopefully give a different hope and lens to understanding our life and the healing journey. I want the world to know that there is hope in healing and the holistic model of working with the innate intelligence in us all can deeply heal us and maybe the very force we need to overcome many of our challenges.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting town, the first thing I would do is take them on to the top of Cathedral Rock because I love how it feels up there sitting atop a majestic vista overlooking Sedona. I would then take them out to Elote’ for the best Mexican food in town.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Life has been a beautiful series of events that led me perfectly to the right people, mentors and friends. Each has deeply supported me on my journey and the service i do today. Shout out to Michelle Peterson from “medicinehorsehealing.com” who does emotional intelligence coaching along with equine therapy in Sedona AZ has been a dear friend and a deep influence to embodying my work today.
