We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Euler and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When The Artist Path launched I had been working in the music Industry for a little over 2 years. My Artists that I managed Directly had played events like Coachella, EDC, Tomorrowland, and Bonnaroo. I had helped line up Record deals with Insomniac, Dim Mak, Confession, and more. After some time I had more and more Artist’s reaching out to me asking how to get more bookings, how to get their music signed, and overall how to grow their brand. I began to think just how valuable it would be if I could go back and talk to my younger self when I first started in the Music World. Thus this need created The Artist Path. I began do sit down and do 1 on 1 face to face mentorship sessions with those aspiring to work in music full time. The response was great and I was able to work with tons of up and coming Artists. When Quarantine hit the need became bigger. After asking my longtime Mentor Brandon Owen to come on to the platform and become a Mentor himself it really started to gain traction from there. After doing his first face to face session he came back to me with the idea that we would help a ton of our Friends who are working full time in the Music Industry to make some extra income during a very difficult time with Covid-19 effecting everyone. We began to reach out to our industry connections and Mentor by Mentor the platform began to grow and really take a shape of it’s own. Since then we have added over 40 Mentors to the site and worked with numerous students who have the desire to gain knowledge about the music Industry.
What should our readers know about your business?
What really sets The Artist Path apart is the face that you can get 1 on 1 face to face time with some of the top minds in the Dance Music Industry. You can ask questions that are specific to your project and your goals. Questions that you may not get answered elsewhere. We are most proud about being able to help our fellow music industry friends find extra income during a time when touring and shows are non existent. Additionally the impact that these mentors leave on students they work with is priceless. They are helping others figure out how to attack their dreams. It’s never easy starting and launching a brand or a business but it’s always worth it. Especially when the business has a chance to change lives for the better which is exactly what The Artist Path is doing. We’ve overcome challenges by simply working together as a team and by keeping our mission of education and growth at the forefront of our efforts. We believe education and knowledge can transform lives. What better way to learn than from the professionals doing what you wish to do?
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Phoenix is an up and coming powerhouse in the Dance Music World. I’ve watched the scene here really blow up over the last few years. Shady Park Tree House Sunday is something I consider to be the Dance Music Church in the Valley. Beyond that there are too many great things to do here between Talking Stick Pool Parties, Mill Avenue, Old town and so much more.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a lot of people, books, and a couple Organizations that deserve more than a little credit to helping me get where I am today. The three Mentors that helped me find my way early on in the Music Industry are TJ McCloy, Brandon Owen, and Theemeoh Tsiboukas. I’ll be forever grateful for the knowledge and experience they helped me gain. The team that helped me grow my first Business with OCTIV Entertainment I’ll forever be in debt to. Three books that changed my life and helped me find my way to work full time doing what I love are The Alchemist, How to Win Friends and Influence People, and Sing to Me – LA Reid. The people, the teams, and the knowledge helped me gain everything I have today and I am forever grateful for that.
