We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Luna and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor of my brand being successful is maintaining solid relationships. I strongly believe if you remain a solid person to others you are going to attract the same type of people. Relationship bridges last longer if you stick to being 100 percent real with yourself and to others. Another thing I would say is being versatile. I’m not a fan of placing all my eggs in one basket. If you look at my work i attempt to shoot other type of photos besides just the music industry. I can do portraits, maternity shoots, parties, gender reveals, behind the scene type photos and much more. The key is elevating your game to each type of different styles of photography and mastering them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What can i say? My work speaks for itself. Iv’e learned that being real, having great quality and finesse to my style of editing is what separates me from other shooters out here. I really feel like i have an eye for this and it wasn’t like iv’e been doing this for years and years. I’m fairly new to the photo game, almost 3 years next March 2022, and it almost feels like iv’e jumped a lot of years in regards to the improvement of my quality in my photos. What makes me so proud is looking back to where and how i started to now being part of bigger opportunities and shooting larger platforms. I get excited being involved in the media industry because you never know what next big opportunity will arise. You never know who will be the next person you run in to and that person could potentially put you in a position where you never dreamt of being in. If it wasn’t for the connections i have built and my passion for photos, I don’t think I’d be in the level I am in now. I’ve learned that you have to stay true to yourself and carry yourself in a way that people will remember you. I literally came from watching people on Instagram shoot photos to actually buying myself a cheap camera and actually apply myself and share to the world what talent i have. My thing was if that person can do it why cant I?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, the first place I’d take a visitor to is Sedona. There’s nothing more beautiful than the scenery. Can always grab a nice dinner with the best views of the mountains and enjoy a nice hike up Cathedral Rock. Also, while on the way to Sedona, i like to first stop in Cottonwood and eat at a pizza joint called Pizzeria Bocce. Let me tell you, best pizza in Arizona hands down. Lastly, after leaving Cottonwood I would stop by in Jerome, since it’s also on the way to Sedona, and grab lunch at their local restaurant called “The Haunted Burger” and then stay the night in the haunted Jerome Grand Hotel.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Right off the bat i want to shout out my boy Nappy for being one of the realest individuals iv’e met coming up in the media industry. From having me shoot his behind the scene photos of the music videos he shoots to lending and trusting one another with our camera equipment, we need more individuals like him. Another shooter I want to shout out is my boy OG Pamps. He’s also another person who’s helped me understand the game a bit more and expose me to more opportunities outside of AZ. Good man always looking out for me. Last individual I want to shout out is my boy C2. Another OG whose story had such an impact on me that his hustle and ambition inspired me. Always checking up on me and he’s just another person I can reach out to and soak up some game.
