We had the good fortune of connecting with Jemimah Ashleigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jemimah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In early 2018, I read the alarming statistic that 97% of female-led start-ups failed in the first five years. This was twice the rate of the male start-ups.

We tend to find that women worked more consistently but failed to do a few key things really well.

Women fail to:
– Build a strong personal brand
– Have a good tribe around you
– Build in a strong social media strategy
– Promote yourself on PR in media
– Apply for awards

I wanted to create a strong business at could help women – and the men that support us – to bridge these key problems in a safe environment.

I created my business to fix these problems – which is why I created The Visibility Lab.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey in business has been incredible coming from a background of law enforcement to building a six-figure visibility coaching program. I have won multiple entrepreneurial awards – and am proud to have recently been named of the Top 10 Female Entrepreneurs in Australia.

The business is growing very quickly. The Visibility Lab is the culmination of everything I have learned in the past five years about building a profile and getting seen and heard.

The Visibility Lab is home to incredible people doing incredible things. At the Lab, the focus is on building a personal brand, winning awards and getting you featured in the media – all for under 20 minutes a day.

At the Lab, we guide you through proven, tested strategies for getting press and growing your audience so you become the go-to expert in your field.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First of all – we have to stay at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort.

After a day of hiking and touring around the Camelback Mountain and of course the Mystery Castle.

Another personal favourite is the zoo and the Desert Botanical Gardens.

My favourite place for dinner is Bobby Q’s BBQ or Hush Public House for drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many incredible amazing people that have made my career better,

The first is my parents, who despite not understanding what I was trying to do – fully supported me in doing that.
My original business coach, Gary Vaynerchuk. He taught me I could be authentically who I was and it would help build my business. He was 100% correct.

My community around me has been amazing and I’m very lucky to have built an incredible tribe of people around me.
They will always support and love me – but also will also kick my ass when needed.

The networking groups including BxNetworking and One Roof have been pivotal for my business.

And finally I’ve build an amazing tribe in The Visibility Lab – which amazing people who are doing incredible things. They continue to inspire and surprise me every single day.
