We had the good fortune of connecting with Jolene Goring and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jolene, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve worked in corporate for most of my career life, and learned SO much about every aspect of business! After feeling frustrated about not being able to implement my ideas due to corporate red tape and too many mindless meetings… I decided to create my own brand so that I could do what I knew was going to lead to success… and guess what? It did!!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve worked as Director of Marketing for a number of international companies over the last 10 years, and I’ve always loved the creative part of the job (but not so much the red tape and lack of freedom)! I’ve had the great opportunity to learn every aspect of marketing a product, and this helps me in my current career as a blogger and influencer because I get to do my favorite part of marketing (being creative), and I also get to help guide brands on the other details of having a successful campaign. I’ve literally created my dream career that I didn’t even know existed!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in North Scottsdale and I have a bad habit of rarely leaving my ‘bubble’! I love to walk around the Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter area where you can eat, drink, shop and people watch in a beautiful setting. As for fitness, I love to hike and I think that Pinnacle Peak is a very beautiful spot that everyone needs to experience! Also a day trip to Sedona is a must – I can literally feel the positive energy as soon as I drive into the stunning red rocks. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I credit my husband for believing in me and encouraging me to transition out of a high level corporate job that I was miserable in. He believed in me from the beginning, and that helped me to have the courage to make the leap into my self created dream career!
