Meet Jourdi Bleu | Women’s Empowerment Coach, Yoga Teacher, Inspirational Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jourdi Bleu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jourdi, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favourite quote is “Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway”. I have overcome quite a few obstacles in my life, including surviving a traumatic head injury, overcoming addiction, and leaving the corporate world to start my own business. I feel like this quote sums up how I face challenges head on and don’t let fear paralyse me, which I see is a super common factor in holding people back from chasing their dreams. I went to my first personal development talk by Mastin Kipp in Sydney about 8 years ago, and he taught me to let fear be my compass. Instead of getting into my head too much and letting “analysis paralysis” (overthinking decisions, procrastinating, not taking action) hold me back, I have learned how to just jump into things and figure it out as I go. I used to find a lot of excuses as to why I wasn’t ready to do the next big thing, and I have decided that I don’t want to live that way anymore. Life is too short, and I have big plans while I’m here this time around so I don’t waste any time now. I like to say if my dreams don’t scare me, they aren’t big enough. If something gives me the nervous butterflies in my tummy, I take it as a sign to go for it.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Being an entrepreneur is most definitely not for the faint hearted. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to start your own thing and chase your dreams. Having said that, when you are living in alignment with your Higher Self and following your souls’ path, the Universe totally helps co-create this for you, and doors start to open that you didn’t even know were there. My Women’s Empowerment Coaching business is really just an extension of who I am. I teach women the things that have helped me transform on my own personal healing journey, so I am really living this stuff. I used to think that I had a gaping hole inside of me, and I tried to fill it with external things, like drugs, alcohol, sex, relationships and money. But the pursuit of wholeness in that way only left me feeling more empty and lonely. Through healing modalities like yoga, breathwork, meditation, life coaching, shamanic healing, energy work, 12 step programs, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy I have remembered that there actually was never a gaping hole, and that everything I need to feel fulfilled lives within. I just had to get out of my own way, stop self-sabotaging, slow down and listen, and all the answers started coming to me. It’s crucial to me to practice what I preach and teach from an authentic place, so I am constantly taking an internal inventory and working on myself, which isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. It takes some serious grit to be honest enough with yourself about what you don’t exactly love and then doing the work to transform. My message to the world is that anyone can turn their life around, no matter how far down they have gone, or how much messed up stuff they have done. It all starts with digging deep and getting honest about the fact that the way you have been doing things might not exactly be the best way, and then being humble enough to change. Each moment is a new opportunity to CHOOSE to do, think, or be something different. What sets me apart from my colleagues in the field (who always inspire me by the way) is that I have FUN while doing this work. When you can laugh at yourself and look at your journey as an observer, rather than being caught up in your story and identifying with your thoughts, it makes this path of evolution much more enjoyable. Healing doesn’t always have to be super serious, so I bring a playful, light, positive, contagious energy to the space while we dive deep and tap into what I call our F*ck Yes Energy
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give my family this shoutout. I know I’m biased, but I really think I have the best family in the world. The older I get, the more I see how unique and special it is to have such a tight knit, close family that would do absolutely anything for each other. They have supported me my whole life, but especially through the dark days of my head injury which led into a life riddled with addiction. Throughout these difficult years, they showed me unwavering support, love and compassion. Even though I was doing things that scared them, they stood by me and believed that I would get through the tough times, which gave me hope. I 100% wouldn’t be where I am today without their unconditional love, empathy and generosity. As a result of this, I have implemented those values that were so beautifully role modelled for me into my business which has no doubt led to its success. My dad instilled the principle “Family First” in us growing up, and we really live that. I am so blessed that our souls chose each other in this lifetime. I love you Mom, Dad and Teft <3
