We had the good fortune of connecting with Toni Corsaut and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Toni, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Personally, routine is something that helped me. Developing a healthy and recharging morning routine always set me up well for the day. Even if everything else went wrong in the day at least I could still say, “Well, at least I made my bed and brushed my teeth today.” It seems so silly and simple but it really set me up so well for the day. I usually would wake up, grab some coffee for the day, read a bit, get ready for the day and then do something active. Then I’d go hop down in front of my computer and feel already accomplished by like 9am. Morning. Routines. Can’t say it enough!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always loved to create. I’ve always been a musician. So when it came to a more physical, tangible art I always saw it as a hobby. I made earrings for a bit, painted canvases and other little with it’s with an Etsy shop that did well for a few weeks until it plateaued. After planning my own wedding, I knew that my love for creating and people could be more than just a simple hobby. I’d wrestled with this idea of starting my own business for over a year before finally making steps to get started. Even now, we are still in the early stages. I’ve always had a love for administrative work, creating, and connecting with people. Getting to do something where I help people bring their loved ones together to celebrate their own love is something that’s so special. Professionally, I’ve worked in a lot of different spaces. Mostly, I’ve worked in churches with students. With that came a lot of event experience. With my musician background, I gained a lot of production experience. Currently I work at a Porsche Dealership full time while also trying to run my own business. This job and some other admin jobs I’ve had have given me organization and customer experience knowledge. I’ve loved all these areas of my professional life. But I’m looking forward to one day being able to showcase the love between couples as my full time and only job.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Currently, I live in Southern California. Our business, Known & Loved, takes weddings all along the west coast including California, Arizona and Oregon. But I grew up in AZ and went to college in Phoenix and I’ve got to say, Phoenix holds some of my all time favorite spots. For meals, I always loved Postino Wine Cafe with my best friend or my husband. Every time I come home, my husband and I always go there. Another favorite would have to be Flower Child. I have a lot of food allergies and yet there are so many options for me there. Of course, I always have to stop at a Dutch Bros for a Palm Beach Black Tea or a Decaf Golden Eagle with Almond Milk. I always love to hang out at Lucy’s at the Orchard or head down to some more food places like Sauce (for some of the best Cauliflower crust pizza ever) or one of my favorite church coffee shops that my sister works at in Gilbert. I also love nature and being outdoors, so, as cheesy as this sounds I love going to the Phoenix Zoo. I even went there on my honey moon! And then a favorite road trip place in AZ would be Sedona 100%. The red rocks at sunset are my all time favorite and that’s what our branding colors are based on!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to shout out my partner and good friend, TaylorRae, from TaylorRae Photo + Film. She has been so encouraging and patient. Every little detail, silly question, or venting session has always been met with grace and kindness. Also, she is SO talented behind a camera! I also want to shout out my wedding coordinator from my wedding, Linda. It was at my wedding when I realized, “Hey, I could totally do this over and over and over again.” Linds has been so great and encouraging as I’ve been able to assist her in some wedding recently. She’s been doing it at our church for many years and has a great system. I’m grateful for her words and experience!
