We had the good fortune of connecting with Julie Veres and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julie, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic career because it’s an inherent part of who I am. Photography allows me to express myself creatively, conveying thoughts and emotions beyond words. It keeps me engaged, constantly exploring and evolving. Photography transcends barriers, connecting people and sparking dialogue. I strive to make a positive impact through my work and with my clients. Choosing this path has brought me so much fulflillment. It’s about living authentically, following my passion, and finding joy in self-expression.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with clients instantly, making them feel comfortable as if we’ve known each other for years. I prioritize active listening, empathy, and collaboration, creating a safe space for them to express themselves fully. By building trust and understanding their unique perspectives, I can authentically bring their artistic visions to life.

I’ve had quite a few setbacks and bumps in the road in my time as a photographer, but in those moments I always take time away to refresh and always come back better than before.

My brand began with my absolute love for photography. I am deeply passionate about capturing precious moments in time, freezing them in a single frame to be cherished forever. Starting out, I relied on the power of word of mouth as clients shared their positive experiences with others. As my talent became recognized, my brand gained momentum and expanded in ways I could have never anticipated. The support and appreciation I receive from clients has helped me establish a reputation for delivering exceptional photographic work. It has been an incredible journey, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love being outdoors and am happiest on the water, so when I have out of town guests I love to take them paddle boarding on the Salt River. It is so beautiful, so serene and the wild horses are the biggest bonus. There are SO many amazing dining experiences here in the valley, but a few of my favorites would be Tratto and Cibo!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not do what I do without the love and support of my amazing family and especially my four beautiful children.
