We had the good fortune of connecting with Jummy Ikuseru and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jummy, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
It’s all about people, whether its customers or employees, people are the most important.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is Classy Sisters Wigs, we are a wig boutique located in North Phoenix and we specialize in wig products and care for people experiencing a medical related hair loss or just in need of alternative hair.
Our customer service sets us apart because we put our clients needs first and foremost before making a sale.
My husband and I bought the business from the previous owner in 2021 and we’ve continued to grow in the legacy of excellence.
The pandemic, recovery and inflation have all presented challenges, as seen in the retail industry, but we’ve stayed strong with God’s favor and the loyalty of customers old and new.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Haven’t visited much of Arizona yet but the Grand Canyon is at the top of the list. Sampling some of the local restaurants in the Phoenix, Tempe area is also a must. Then we’ll end the day with dessert from Andie’s Custard in Ahwatukee.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without God and family, I definitely wouldn’t be here. And without our amazing employees, customers and non-profit partners, we wouldn’t be in business. So many thanks to them all!
