We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathy Baggett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kathy, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I think the most important thing I’ve done as a parent is being present and consistent—showing up, even when it’s hard or inconvenient. Making sure my kids know they’re supported, listened to, and loved no matter what has shaped their confidence more than anything else.

I’ve tried to model a strong work ethic, accountability, and kindness, while also giving them room to make mistakes and learn from them. Teaching them how to handle challenges, treat people with respect, and stand on their own feet has had a lasting impact—not just on what they do, but on who they are.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career journey has been anything but traditional—and definitely not easy—but every step has shaped who I am today. I’ve had the opportunity to own multiple businesses over the years, which taught me resilience, accountability, and how to truly understand both people and operations from the ground up. Entrepreneurship builds a different kind of grit—you learn quickly that success comes from long hours, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt when things don’t go as planned.

Today, I serve as the Director of Catering for Century Golf, managing catering operations across multiple properties. It keeps me incredibly busy, but it’s also where I thrive. What sets me apart is my hands-on approach and my passion for creating experiences—not just events. I love making people happy and having the privilege of being part of their biggest milestones—weddings, celebrations, corporate achievements, and life moments they’ll remember forever.

The road to where I am wasn’t easy. There were challenges, growing pains, and moments where I had to push myself outside my comfort zone. I overcame those obstacles by staying focused, working hard, and never losing sight of why I do what I do—serving people and creating meaningful memories. I’ve learned that relationships matter, reputation matters, and consistency matters. If you lead with integrity and heart, the rest will follow.

The biggest lessons along the way? Stay humble, stay hungry, and never stop learning. Success isn’t just about titles—it’s about impact.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: I’m passionate about people. Whether through business ownership or directing catering operations, my story has always been rooted in service, connection, and creating moments that matter. Being trusted with someone’s special day is something I never take lightly—and that’s what continues to drive and inspire me every day.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d want them to experience the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, incredible food, and unforgettable Arizona views—the kind of trip that feels exciting but never rushed.

Day 1 – Backyard BBQ Kickoff
We’d start the trip right at home with a laid-back backyard BBQ. We’d fire up the smoker—probably do a brisket—something that takes all day and fills the yard with that amazing smell. Add great sides, music, and cocktails by the pool, and it’s the perfect way to kick off the week—comfortable, personal, and full of laughs.

Day 2 – Day Trip to Jerome
We’d hit the road for a scenic drive to Jerome—one of Arizona’s coolest historic mining towns. We’d explore the quirky shops, wine tasting rooms, and all the haunted history. Lunch with mountain views is a must, and the whole town has this funky, old-west charm you just don’t find anywhere else.

Day 3 – Grand Canyon Bucket List
We’d make the trip up to the Grand Canyon—taking in the viewpoints, photos, and that jaw-dropping scenery you never forget. Since it’s a long drive, we’d stay the night and make the most of it.

Day 4 – Sedona Stop
On the way back, we’d stop in Sedona for those iconic red rock views. We’d do a Pink Jeep tour, grab lunch with a view, and soak in the beauty before heading home.

Day 5 – Lake Pleasant
Boat day at Lake Pleasant—floating, music, snacks, drinks, and sunshine. One of the best ways to enjoy Arizona and just let loose.

Day 6 – Victory Steps + Sunset Dinner
We’d start the day hiking Victory Steps for incredible views and a great workout. Then we’d wind down at The Vic Bar & Kitchen for sunset cocktails and dinner overlooking the city—hands down one of my favorite views.

Day 7 – Pool Day Wind-Down
After a big week of adventures, we’d slow it down with a full pool day—lounging, sunshine, cocktails, and catching up. No schedule, just relaxing and soaking in that desert glow.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Tom, who has stood by my side for the past 25 years. He’s been my constant—my partner in parenting, life, and everything in between. Through the busy seasons, the hard moments, and the big wins, he has been steady, supportive, and unwavering. I truly couldn’t have done any of this without him. He deserves so much credit for the family we’ve built and the values we’ve passed on together.
