We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Cole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
For me, giving up has never been an option. I have always had to be so strong and have endured so many things that could have very much so tore me down. In life, we face challenges that make us question our abilities to fight through and make it to the finish line. “Eyes on the prize” is a good mindset to have whether it’s when you set goals for yourself or when things come up unexpectedly. Because if you think about the reasons why you started something in the first place it’s easier to remember why you have to keep going. This is not an easy task due to the fact that things don’t always work according to our plan but God’s plan. Being able to adjust to every change in circumstances that aren’t ideal to us gives an individual the chance to see what “could be” which sometimes works out better than we could have imagined for ourselves. You know to keep going when you’re intuition is guiding you, it’s difficult to tap into it when you’re mind is so creative and filled. However, trusting in yourself is the first step… everything else will follow.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Let’s Keep Growing’s mission is to help individuals dealing with hair loss by regrowing their hair and then their confidence. What set’s us apart is that above the surface you get hair growth products but beneath the surface and on your journey, we are here to empower you to help you begin to shine from the inside out. Meaning that we want you to get a full experience of what our brand represents which is growth. Realizing that growth is important to ones success we want to give the tools and resources that one would need to take on the challenges in life that they may be facing and apply these tools to help them get through them. I am mostly proud of how i’ve overcome every challenge in my journey by trusting in myself and putting my faith in God, knowing that when I am faced with challenges, they are only there to make me stronger. Understanding that the challenges may always come but through growth you learn to better yourself for the next round. Knowing that I didn’t have the confidence or courage to really see it through in the beginning and now to see that my products have helped so many people with their hair loss issues and has really motivated me to keep going. I think that having an open minded approach has been the thing that has brought me to this point in my business, being able to take feedback and criticism and make the changes necessary so that I could continue to grow in the right direction. Has it been easy, of course not. I am a person that wears many hats doing a lot of things on my own because I have created a sense of independence that is sometimes really just me being in my own way. I am an individual that desires perfection even knowing that sometimes we can’t always have what’s perfect but learning that it’s not even about that it’s really about the journey. I want everyone to know that life is full of surprise, never be afraid to start something new, always see it through good or bad because you’ll miss the outcome if you don’t go for it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To be completely honest me and my best friend would have the most fun just getting an airbnb, at a really nice location and doing most of our hanging out there. We would go to the grocery store and grab a bunch of snacks, junk food and food to grill, and wine. We would invite our other friends over to come and hang out. Esepecially these days with covid going on. For me, when you are surrounded by great people, genuine people it doesn’t matter what we’re doing. We’re going to have fun regardless. 2/3 nights we would go out, get really dressed up and have dinner and we would have breakfast at a different spot each day. I can’t tell you much about the nightlife anymore, priorities are different but there are a few places I know to eat at..
1. Breakfast B****
2. The Porch (Phoenix)
3. Hash Kitchen
4. Steak 44 (I have never been)
5. Sedona just because it’s a beautiful place to wake up and have breakfast in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s truly so many people I could give a shoutout too. From my friends to complete strangers. Even teachers and family. So shoutout to all of the individuals that have supported me on my journey. Also, very special shoutout to my children. They encourage me so much. It’s good to know you have a village.
