We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Diffie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Every day we are given the rhe choice to challenge ourselves, to learn, grow evolve and become something or someone better than we were yesterday, or we can stagnate… …I know that someday I am going to die, but before then I want to LIVE…

…for me it isn’t a hard decision; onward and upward.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
For many years I was afraid to even express myself artistically because I lacked confidence in my abilities. I was fearful that perhaps my talents wouldn’t stack up to the expectations of others. It wasn’t until I was in my 30’s that I began to realize that it did not matter what others thought, I craved and needed an expressive outlet. I began to experiment with a variety of artistic releases and even found the courage to show a few close friends my work. I was surprised at the reaction they had and found it encouraging. Soon I found myself not only producing work for myself but others as well. Now some years later I have managed to achieve a global reach with my art and have sold pieces on 4 continents, in 4 countries and in 45 states domestically.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I happen to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and am fortunate enough to have many wonderful attractions within very close proximity. The Grand Canyon is only about 90 minutes away by car. Sedona and Jerome are also close by and easily accessible for day trips and are wonderful destinations if you are into ghosts and ghouls and even alien encounters! Snowflake and the white mountains may also interest you if aliens are your thing as it was the location of the Travis Walton abduction and is a few short hours drive from home base. Meteor Crater and Sunset Crater are among the closer popular attractions and what space lover wouldn’t enjoy a trip to Lowell Observatory located in Flagstaff atop Mars Hill. Williams provides the opportunity to discover the Wild West as well as some fantastic lunch options along Old Route 66 and don’t forget to take a drive through tour of BeArizona and catch stunning views of local wildlife while you are here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My good friend Kiernan Piper is one of the most creative people I’ve ever met and he constantly encourages me in my ventures. He is one of the key motivational factors in my life.
