We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Janke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factor behind my success/the success of the brand is educating the public on the limitless benefits of infrared therapy and the science/medical research behind it. The health benefits of regular infrared exposure in a controlled environment such as an infrared sauna is one of the best things a person can do for their body!

It is one of the very rare things that is good for “everyone” and has “zero” downsides. Some of the amazing benefits are seen below:

– Reduction of heart disease (some studies show a reduced risk of 50%)
– Lowering cholesterol
– Lowering blood sugar
– Improving circulation
– Increasing production of serotonin, which is great for stress reduction/mood, pain relief and sleep, brain
stimulation
– Increased production of white blood cells – great for immunity
– Anti-aging from production of collagen and elastin
– Stimulates production of HGH (human growth hormone)
– Weight loss due to increased metabolism from heating the core
– Sports recovery
– Detoxification by ridding the body of toxins such as heavy metals, ammonia, BPA, environmental toxins such
as pollution, pesticides, exhaust, etc.

I could go on and on and on about the incredible benefits of infrared, but the fact that HOTWORX can deliver this amazing technology on a large scale at an affordable price is incredible.

The other very important factor is my passion for this brand and my desire to expose people to this incredible innovative workout and infrared delivery method. My goal is to share this with the world and watch as members become healthier, happier, and improve their lives!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As mentioned earlier, HOTWORX is a new venture and a departure from my previous career. I founded and was sole proprietor of Elite Transcription, a medical transcription company, for the past 24 years, which I owned and operated. I do believe my knowledge of the medical field is what drew me to and helped me understand just how amazing HOTWORX was. Prior to that I worked as a field sales person for Future Electronics and Time Electronics selling and designing in electronic components at the manufacturer level.

I crave knowledge and love learning new things, so that part was easy, but nothing else was. As a business owner/entrepreneur, you truly are in charge of your own destiny but it requires dedication, a passion for what you’re doing and good old fashion hard work (a little luck doesn’t hurt either). I believe challenging yourself and putting yourself out there into a place of discomfort is what allows for personal growth…in other words, change is good, so find something that challenges you and the rest will take care of itself!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would have to spend some time in the town of Cave Creek (our town) for some good old fashion Creeker sightseeing and entertainment. During the day we would hike Spur Cross and at night see maybe go see some Bronco Busters or mutton busting just for the fun of it. How many places can you see that on a regular Friday night?

We would hike Camelback or Tom’s Thumb and definitely have an evening or two in Old Town Scottsdale. There are so many great places to eat in Old Town, but for starters, tacos apps at Diego Pops, drinks at Montauk and dinner at Olive and Ivy, which sounds like a pretty nice evening!

Of course, we would have to spend an evening at The Quarter and Kierland for another day of shopping, eating and outdoor entertainment. One of our favorite things to do is hop from place to place. We might start with drinks at one place, appetizers at the next stop, dinner at another and dessert at Eddie V’s!

We would also have to take a drive up to Sedona to see some red rocks and hike Devil’s Bridge.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had a lot of people help me out on my journey, but the one who deserves the most credit is my husband of 31 years, Dean. He is an aerospace engineer and very methodical. When I first brought this idea of purchasing a franchise to him, he thought I had “lost my mind.” This was also during Covid, so needless to say, I wasn’t the least bit surprised at his reaction.

After taking some time to become familiar with the brand and gaining a knowledge of infrared and what HOTWORX was all about, he jumped onboard with me and we haven’t looked back. I couldn’t ask for anything more in a husband and partner. His support of my desire to chase this dream means more to me than words can say!
