Meet Kerrington Vaughn | Fashion Stylist, Model, & Content Creator
We had the good fortune of connecting with Kerrington Vaughn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kerrington, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I would say how much hard work you have to put in! I work in the fashion industry, so most times people only see the “glamor and flashing lights”. But one mentor told me “there’s always a team and effort behind whatever you do”. I truly believe that!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As stated before I am a fashion/personal stylist and model. So my brand is called Demaria With Style, this brand represents creativity in multiple ways. I like to call my brand a fashion renaissance. Where I can enhance style through styling, and as I model the clothes. So far I am proud of the first steps that I made to start the brand. Truthfully, the brand is only 2 years old, but it took some time to really get the courage to go for my dreams. With the support from family, friends and the organization I was able to flourish. At times it is very hard, and it really took trusting in the Lord, and still creating to have me feel like I would be fine. In that process I learned never be afraid to step out on Faith. Even when life gets hard, still create. Evolving your brand is ok! Know that I am an answer to a problem and that I was born for a reason through style I will show that!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So if it’s a weekend trip first I would say
Friday: we would go to downtown chandler walk around, listen to the live band and grab dinner at Craft 64! (Love their pizza)
Saturday: go to brunch at BLD in Chandler, then go shopping at chandler mall
Sunday: we could go to the butterfly garden in Scottsdale
Honestly for me the fun things I love out here is the shopping promenades and centers it’s great places to walk around and just enjoy! Ex: Keirland Commons, San Tan village, Dana Park, Premium outlets etc.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First off I want to thank the Lord, God who’s made this purpose and gift in me for his glory! He is why I do what I do!
Next I want to thank my parents Kerry and Demario Vaughn who have pushed me when it comes to my dreams!
Next my aunt/homeschool teacher Karen Dufour who has always support my dreams since I was a little girl.
Lastly thank you to an organization I was apart of Mujeres of All Shades (M.O.A.S.) (founder Franchela Ulises)that gave me a chance to flourish on my gifts and gave me the tools to go forth!
