We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly R Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kimberly R, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing outsiders often don’t realize is the amount of behind-the-scenes coordination that goes into being a Realtor. My job goes far beyond just showing houses. I’m constantly negotiating for my clients, fielding calls and emails from title reps, inspectors, insurance agents, appraisers, and more. I coordinate and attend inspections, review the findings with my clients, and guide them through the appraisal and title work processes. I work hard to keep everything running smoothly, handling any issues that arise so my clients can have a seamless, stress-free experience. My goal is to advocate for them every step of the way.

What should our readers know about your business?
As a Realtor in Louisiana and Mississippi, my business is built on trust, personalized service, and strong relationships. What sets me apart is my commitment to going above and beyond for my clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed through every step of the process. I’m most proud of the connections I’ve made with clients who trust me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. Like any business, there were challenges, whether it was navigating market shifts, handling complex transactions, or managing the demands of balancing multiple clients. I overcame these obstacles by staying dedicated, constantly learning, and surrounding myself with a strong support system of family, mentors, and colleagues.

Along the way, I’ve learned that success in real estate is about more than closing deals! It’s about listening, understanding my clients’ unique needs, and being there for them in ways they didn’t even know they needed. My brand is all about providing exceptional service with integrity and care, and I want the world to know that when you work with me, you’re getting someone who is fully invested in your success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Here’s the perfect itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival & French Quarter Vibes
Start by checking into a boutique hotel in the French Quarter, then head to Café du Monde for beignets and café au lait. Walk around Jackson Square, explore the local art, and visit St. Louis Cathedral. For dinner, we’d hit up *Galatoire’s* for classic Creole cuisine, followed by drinks at *Carousel Bar* in the Hotel Monteleone.

Day 2: Garden District & Local Flavors
Breakfast at Surrey’s on Magazine Street, then a stroll through the Garden District to admire the historic homes. Stop by Commander’s Palace for their famous jazz brunch. In the afternoon, we’d take a streetcar ride down St. Charles Avenue and relax at Audubon Park. Dinner at Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar. A casual spot right on St. Charles Avenue , and end the night with live music at Tipitina’s.

Day 3: Game Day Hype**
Before the Saints game, we’d grab oysters at *Drago’s. Head to the Superdome, tailgate with the fans, and then enjoy the game! Afterward, we’d celebrate or console ourselves at Barcadia with great drinks and arcade games.

Day 4: Foodie Adventures
Start the day with brunch at Ruby Slipper, then head to the Bywater neighborhood to check out street art and galleries. Lunch at The Joint for some of the best BBQ in the city. We’d spend the afternoon at shopping on Magazine Street , followed by dinner at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant for incredible Creole experience. Wrap up the night with cocktails at French 75.

Day 5: Day Trip

Swamp Tour
We’d head out of the city for a day on a swamp tour to get up close with Louisiana’s wildlife. Dinner back in the city at Cochon for rustic Cajun dishes.

Day 6: Art, Culture & Nightlife
Visit the Ogden Museum of Southern Art or the New Orleans Museum of Art. Lunch at Willie Mae’s for some of the best fried chicken in the country. In the evening, dinner at Herbsaint on St. Charles, followed by a night out on Frenchmen Street for live jazz and dancing.

Day 7: Farewell Brunch & Shopping
Finish the trip with brunch at Atchafalaya , then a little shopping in the French Quarter or along Magazine Street for local art and souvenirs. One last walk along the riverfront before heading to the airport.

In my view, New Orleans is all about its incredible food, vibrant music scene, and the friendly, laid-back vibe of the people. It’s a city where you can always find something fun, exciting, or downright unforgettable!
