We had the good fortune of connecting with Kori Martz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kori, what do you attribute your success to?
Being Authentic is the most important factor behind my success. In my opinion authenticity, originality and honesty is what brings me and others the best possible outcomes I can say through my experience! When others need assistance and help to remove obstacles from their lives, I offer knowledge, honesty and insight into their situation. When others succeed, we all succeed!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The journey to my career has been a natural progression over the years. It started with my schooling at a Natural Healing College in the early 2000’s, learning how to use my creativity and intuitive work with others using these gifts simultaneously. My niche showed up on its own through my life experiences and education. Allowing others to see their situation from a different perspective and bringing them the clarity is a gift of mine. Like most of us, we get in our heads and only see things from a taught response and one point of view. When we are continually doing the same thing over and over again, being able to point out these challenges and finding solutions through Life Coaching and also using my intuition has had the most benefit to those of us looking to get out of a repeating cycle or situation. If the world could know anything about me and my story, my life experience has brought me the most knowledge of all. Going through so many life changing experiences and always pushing through has given me the most confidence and tools on my belt. My love and appreciate for others is so deep that no matter what your goal or challenge, I take it personally to see you succeed. Failure is not an option. Nothing easy is worth it, so walk your path, speak your truth and own up to whatever is not working in your life and change it. Create your best life and you will not look back saying, “I wish I had…”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week long trip to Arizona, we would definitely start by grabbing breakfast downtown Gilbert at The Farmhouse. Next, we would go to the farmers market so they could see all of the local goodies Arizonians have to offer since they are within walking distance to each other. I love Karma Apple in Gilbert too, a great little Juicery to grab a pick me up for the day. If it was their first time to Arizona, I would take them up to Sedona to see the most beautiful Red Rocks and experience a vortex or two. There is nothing like a quick trip up to Sedona to really experience all of the vast scenery and sites in Arizona. Jerome is another great spot too if we extended our stay in Sedona an extra day! Jerome has a fascinating history and it is such a fun place to walk around and experience the history. It has haunting stories and great little B&B’s. Back down in the valley, Old Town Scottsdale would be a great place to experience Old West style shopping and also offers great restaurant choices for dinner. No matter your taste or preference on experiences, these are the best spots I’ve found in Arizona personally to see, do, eat and experience over the years.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have two very important life mentors and friends who have walked by my side throughout life that I can give this credit too. My middle school teacher, Mrs. Penzien was the one person in my childhood who was my safe haven in school, who always believed and encouraged me in everything I did. She would remind me I could accomplish anything, and her life stories and lessons are her specialty. She even surprised me at my High School graduation before I moved to Arizona, can I tell you the amount of tears I cried from that act of love? A lot to say the least! Then I have my lifetime friend, I consider family, who is also wise beyond her years, Mama Anne. She continually encourages me to be the best version of myself daily, and keep walking my path authentically. Her amazing words of wisdom, kindness and laughter have brought me through some of my most challenging times. She taught me to celebrate every failure and every accomplishment I ever experience. This has changed my mindset in so many ways I cannot even begin to tell you. If you haven’t met any earth angels yet, I will let you know they are real and am I ever grateful for them. These two individuals have been such a monumental piece of my life and success in everything I do, because they encouraged me to live my dreams, by following my heart, by showing up fully for others and myself daily, and letting go of the small things that do not matter. If everyone had a Mrs. Penzien and a Mama Anne, the world would be living their best lives, and standing up to challenges head on, conquering them fearlessly. Women Empowerment at its finest!
