Meet Krysta Craig: Curvy Model & Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Krysta Craig and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krysta, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe that I would not have accomplished the things that I have in my life thus far, if I hadn’t taken any risks. Taking risks takes a lot of courage and it allows you to push yourself despite the fear of the unknown. I always say that it is better to try and fail than to not try at all. I would have never gotten into modeling if I didn’t take that risk to go to my first casting with no experience. I did not allow that to stop me, and I ended up getting booked for that show and the rest Is history.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to think of myself as a creative. I love to create, whether it is modeling, drawing, styling myself or acting. I am most proud of getting signed to my first agency and excited to see what is in store for me. I feel that it took a lot of work to get to where I am. I do feel like I have a lot more work to do to get to where I want to be. I’m proud of myself for pushing myself past my limits and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I have learned that it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, failure only happens when you don’t get back up again. I want the world to know that I’m determined to show young people who look like me that they can do anything they put their mind to and to never give up on themselves even when it seems like the world doesn’t want to see them win.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to Sedona. I think Sedona is such a beautiful place to visit. I honestly would spend the entire week there, I would want them to be able to get away from the city life and enjoy some nature. There are beautiful mountains to see, scenic trails to hike and beautiful lakes and forests to admire. We would stay at a really nice cabin on the lake and just enjoy our surroundings with limited time on our phones.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to my family and friends! I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be where I am in life, if it wasn’t for them. It’s so many people to name but I especially have to thank my mother (Torre), my aunt (Beverly) and my grandmother (Hope). They showed me how to be a independent woman and have always encouraged and inspired me to keep going and to live my best life! All of my family and friends that have showed me support deserves recognition in my story.
