We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Chandler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyler, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is a major part of success. A lot of businesses cannot grow to a certain level without some sort of risk. If I never agreed to quit my job when a friend of mine ask me to start up a digital media and marketing company I would have stayed at my 9-5 and never gotten to the point I’m at today. Although I am not where I want to be quite yet, risk has definitely opened a lot of doors and put me on the right path.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The road to where I am right now was far from easy, a lot of ups, a lot of downs, frustrations, great nights etc. Through it all you have to keep pushing forward and keep your heart and mind on the bigger picture. I’ve had several days where imposter syndrome has taken its toll on me and I wanted to give up because I wasn’t as good as some of the people I looked up to. Instead I took a step back and tried another form of video or photo creation and sometimes I would just take the time off and distract myself from it all (and by it all I mean social media) and try to find something that motivated me to be creative in my own way. I have recently found a new passion in sharing a persons or a brands vision to help create a personal connection to their viewers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sunday, go for an awesome drive through Tortilla Flats and hang out at the lake for a bit. Monday, Penske auto museum in Scottsdale and sushi at Kodo for dinner Tuesday, Joy Ride Tacos for taco Tuesday! Wednesday, show them around Tempe and maybe ride some scooters around Tempe Town Lake Thursday, a trip up north to Sedona for some hiking. Friday, Top Golf and dinner at Blue Wasabi in Gilbert Saturday, Cars and Coffee at FourTillFour and a cruise around the town.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Quite a few people have played a big roll in my story actually I’m going to start off with my good friend Josh, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be here. Another great friend of mine Taylor for pushing me to quit my job and pursue my passion. Mario, a brother to me and one of my biggest supports you keep me on my toes!! My lovely girlfriend Jordan, for all the support, patience, and growth. My mom for supporting me when I first started I couldn’t do it without you. Last but not least all the guys at ReelBros for helping me and bringing me on insane projects that keep motivating me to do better! There’s so much more who deserve it but I’m not sure I have that much room lol. Thank you all, so much.
