We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Jewett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what are you inspired by?
By definition, inspire means to breathe life into or to fill someone with the urge or ability to do or feel something (Oxford Languages). We are the Inspired Living Real Estate Collective, a division of Tru Realty. So even our name conveys our team mission to provide the tools to give our clients the ability to find inspiration throughout their entire homeownership journey as well as their lives beyond the transaction. Real estate is such a wonderfully diverse industry! I am challenged and intrigued by something new on a daily basis – and I love this! And I love real estate, that is to say houses! And I truly love connecting people with the perfect home for the next chapter in their lives. I love earning clients trust and having them share their very personal family goals and aspirations with me, sharing in their excitement about what we are working on together and inviting me to be part of their major decision-making moments. This is such an awesome privilege in which I feel inspiration, but am also honored to be on their “team” and do not take this responsibility lightly. A home is a story of who we are and a collection of the things we love. Being a partner and an advocate to help my clients achieve this goal is my privilege. I aim to be the catalyst of inspiration for my clients to be able to realize their dreams through real estate. And in turn, they inspire me every day by literally breathing life into my mission to serve and bring an extraordinary level of ongoing customer care, support and guidance for every aspect of homeownership and beyond. I am inspired by the incredible people that I get to interact with and serve in pursuit of home ownership. I am inspired by the moments of joy and kindness that I encounter in this industry on a daily basis. And I am inspired by having built a business based on love, generosity and appreciation!

What should our readers know about your business?
The thing I am most proud of is the expansion of our community charitable giving program. For several years we have been actively supporting Arizona Helping Hands, the largest provider of essential needs for foster children in Arizona. But we wanted to do more! We are launching a strategic philanthropic program called OPERATION GIVE BACK which focuses on five core areas: Children, Health, Education, Homelessness and Animals. A portion of every commission we earn will be contributed to one of these local charities on behalf of our clients. We will also continue to host contribution drives throughout the year to collect essential items for these amazing organizations. We are honored to serve these incredible organizations and support their missions to make our communities stronger, better and more connected! We are committed to giving back in our own backyard and cheerfully contribute to create community!

Our evolution into the world of real estate was very organic and started in our early 20’s for my husband and I. So, having been enveloped in the real estate industry for over 20 years, we have personally experienced the highs and lows of some of the best and worst markets. Having faced and overcome the challenges and heartaches during the lows of the market have helped in developing our understanding and perspective that we can now use to better relate to and provide direction to our clients. We live real estate all day everyday and this gives us a unique expertise that not all can offer. We have a building division for custom homes, vacation and long-term rentals, direct access to trustee sale property bidding and hard money lending as well as extensive experience in all of the other traditional buying and selling resources to best serve all of the needs of our clients. I love real estate and I love having the opportunity to connect with my clients during the sometimes difficult process of selling their family home to find the perfect home for the next chapter in their lives or to expand their investment portfolio! Knowing the importance of what a home is, we take our mission to provide the highest level of customer care to inspire and transform the lives of our clients very seriously.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being a native Arizonan, I truly love all things Arizona! I love the diversity of our beautiful state and that you can be in the mountains skiing or playing in the snow in the morning and pool side a couple of hours later! When friends come to town, no trip is complete without a visit to one of our beautiful lakes so an outing to either Lake Pleasant, Bartlett or Saguaro Lake is a must. We also enjoy our family cabin in Munds Park and exploring the forest roads in an off-road vehicle, fishing, hiking and enjoying cozying up to the fireplace in the evenings. In town we enjoy lots of pool time and walks in the neighborhood checking out all of the unique and most impressive homes. My favorite hiking trail to share with visitors is Pinnacle Peak for its good mix of even terrain and challenging inclines – and of course the beautiful scenery. I love Mexican food and taking guests to experience the different flavors and takes on this cuisine at places like Barrio Queen, Blanco Tacos and Tequila and ALMA. The ambiance, character and beautiful location of the iconic El Charro restaurant is a must for visitors as well. An evening spent listening to live music in the beautiful lounge at the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch is a great way to relax after an eventful week of experiencing and exploring. There really is no lack of things to do and see in our amazing and diverse state!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Like many success stories, I have my parents to thank for instilling in me a solid work ethic, an open awareness of the needs of those around me and a solid foundation built on doing the right thing, always. My dad would consistently tell us that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Of course, as a child this message was not always well received as it often meant that we had not completed a chore or task to the best of our ability and it would need to be redone…but eventually I realized that this was a mantra worth living by. My mom led by example and was the purest demonstrator of what it means to be a dedicated and committed person. She was a true inspiration of strength, ambition and unconditional love, even in the midst of unsurmountable odds. She was my rock!

I also must give a shout out to Michael Maher and the Seven Levels of Communication Generosity Generation! Their dedication to teaching a method of business development based on giving and loving generously has formed the foundation of my business.
